Other quarterbacks had higher peaks than Benitez on Sunday, but he was the most consistent throughout the drills.
He shined in the half-line drill hitting receivers in stride and getting the ball out on time. His release is nice and high and the ball comes out of his hand nicely.
Benitez made the right reads nearly every time and he backs it up when the pads come on.

NEXT FOUR
McDaniel was one of the more smooth quarterbacks on Sunday. His delivery is smooth, his footwork is solid and his follow through looks good.
It was a windy day and it was tough for quarterbacks on certain parts of the day but McDaniel battled the wind nicely.
He knows when to fire the ball in there and when to put some air under it. It’s easy to see why he has a few offers under his belt already.
Highlights
Berry got better as the day progressed and it’s likely because he got more reps towards the end and fell into a groove.
He is lengthy, confident and can effortlessly drive the ball down the field. Like the other guys at the top of this list, he made the right reads during the half-line drill.
Highlights
Zale thrives in a camp setting and I am interested to see if he can put it all together when the pads come on this fall.
He threw the nicest spirals of the day and the ball jumps out of his hands. His accuracy on deep throws is impressive.
Sometimes he isn’t as accurate on the shorter throws, but the velocity is there. Zale led the group with the most throws that drew a reaction from the crowd.

Guess is an explosive athlete and despite his legs being tired from a track meet, I’m willing to bet he was among the top finishers in the speed drills.
His game is better on the field than he is in camp settings because you can’t take off and run in a camp setting. But he made the right reads and was one of the more accurate throwers on short throws to the flat.
Right when I was disappointed in his deep throws, he threw a dime to the endzone and led the receiver perfectly. Guess will have a huge fall and is consistently getting better.
