Expert Analysis
Michael Huntley | Prep Redzone Scout
Zale was one of the Section leaders in yards per game last season (264.4) and threw 30 touchdowns with eight interceptions and ran for five touchdowns.
He can spin it as good as anyone in the class and has really improved his accuracy outside the numbers. Zale is a patient passer who can buy time with his legs and often hits his third or fourth option on a play. He can throw the ball from different arm angles; sometimes he has a cross body release and sometimes he has a quick short-arm motion, usually when pressure is in his face. Zale has a good understanding of Trabuco’s offense and should have another big year. Lehigh and San Diego have offered him.

Zale is a veteran in these showcases and shines in a camp setting. He throws one of the tighter spirals of anyone and he has improved his accuracy on throws outside of the numbers.
He was one of the better athletes during the speed drills. Zale was hitting guys in stride on the underneath throws and has improved his velocity a bit since I last saw him.

Zale thrives in a camp setting and I am interested to see if he can put it all together when the pads come on this fall.
He threw the nicest spirals of the day and the ball jumps out of his hands. His accuracy on deep throws is impressive.
Sometimes he isn’t as accurate on the shorter throws, but the velocity is there. Zale led the group with the most throws that drew a reaction from the crowd.

Zale impressed at the Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase in January and the ball jumps out of his hands.
His accuracy down the field and outside the numbers was very good and he can throw off-platform.
Zale needs to add some size, but he could have a big junior year at Trabuco Hills.

Zale impressed me with the variety of arm angles he was making good throws with on Sunday.
The ball jumps out of his hands and he had one of the tightest spirals of the day. He throws a great deep ball with accuracy and fit the ball in tight windows in the flat.
Zale needs to add a little size in the weight room, but he can spin it and make big plays for Trabuco Hills in 2024.
