Huhn’s recruitment picked up serious steam this month with offers from Texas and LSU coming in- two programs he’s taken visits to. The sophomore QB possesses great physical tools at 6’4”/205 with a strong, live arm that can make virtually any throw. He has elite skills/presence in the pocket, handles the ball on fakes/play-action extremely well, and anticipates windows against zone coverage. Huhn’ elite physical traits and arm talent have him positioned as one of the state’s top QBs in the 2026 class.
Arrington’s continued to collect D-I offers early into 2024 with Oregon, Washington St., and Arizona St. offering in recent weeks. The sophomore two-sport standout (football, track) is an elite natural athlete and one of the fastest overall prospects in the country. He’s long (6’3”/175), fluid, and dynamic with the ball in his hands and as a vertical threat on the perimeter. Arrington, one of the most explosive playmakers in San Diego, transferred to Mt. Miguel after his sophomore season.
Highlights
Purnell continued to build off his strong freshman season after transferring into Lincoln from San Marcos. He’s a lengthy perimeter CB at 6’1”/175 that plays physical at the LOS and can cover over the top in soft coverage. He’s a reliable tackler in space and shows good timing breaking up passes at the catch-point. Purnell, who picked up offers from Washington and Washington St. in January, should continue to generate interest from the West Coast’s major D-I programs over the course of the offseason.
Roth threw for over 2,200 yards and 19 TDs after taking over the starting spot for La Costa Canyon as a sophomore. He’s a talented, lanky passer that can sling from the pocket and find targets rolling out to either side. He possesses advanced feel for the pocket at his age and his focused mechanics stand out on tape. He shows accuracy at every level of the field, hits receivers in stride over the middle, and his ball placement on deep passes is on the plus side. Roth’s a D-I talent whose stock will only rise as he continues to fill out and develop as a passer.
Jaworski was a versatile piece for Poway’s OL unit operating at both OT spots as a sophomore and was a top OL performer at Prep Redzone’s CA Showcase in January. He’s a strong blocker in the run game that can handle 1v1 matchups over DEs and does well picking up blocks on LBs at the second level. He showed flashes of a strong anchor in pass pro during Showcase 1v1s but needs to continue to add weight/mass to his 6’3”/230 frame. Look for continued development from Jaworski heading into his junior season.
Highlights
Cesaire led the D-III section champs in receiving with 56 catches for 700 yards and 10 TDs as a sophomore. He’s an athletic receiver out of the slot with quick, fluid change-of-direction and natural hands as a pass catcher. He shows great control of his body adjusting to passes outside his frame and can catch in traffic over the middle of the field. Cesaire’s an underrated athlete with growing potential heading into his junior season.
