These athletes have shown tremendous growth in their camp performance, game film and many other aspects of their game to be worthy of moving up our rankings. Below you will see five of these players listed and what makes them so impressive.
DB Tyson Long Tyson Long 6'0" | 175 lbs | DB Pickerington North | 2025 State OH (Pickerington North) 6’0 175 Hudl/X– Tyson has moved up to the #21 spot from #33. He does it all at defensive back for Pickerington North, lining up outside, at nickel and at safety in their defense. He has a solid frame that allows him to effectively play any alignment at a high level with his combined physicality. He has good read and react ability and can change direction on a dime to go make a play on the ball. He has good LOS skills as well as good run defense. His rising number of D1 offers is no surprise considering his plug and play ability in any college coach’s defense.
DL Drayden Pavey Drayden Pavey 6'2" | 280 lbs | DL Taft | 2025 State OH (Taft) 6’2 280 Hudl/X– Drayden has moved up to the #35 spot from #72. At defensive tackle he wreaks havoc for the opposing offense with his balanced attack of both stopping the run and rushing the quarterback. He has good initial quickness and burst without giving up any power at the POA. For his size he has good ankle flexibility that allows him to plant his foot in the ground and change direction quickly. I also really like his effort and motor he shows on the field by not giving up on plays past the LOS and his ability to run down ball carriers and fight to strip the ball out. The finish that he shows on tape is impressive with being able to create initial contact behind the line and get the ball carrier on the ground. I expect him to begin receiving even more P5 interest and offers than the handful he currently has.
ATH Jonathan Stevens Jr Jonathan Stevens Jr 6'0" | 180 lbs | ATH Westerville North | 2025 State OH (Westerville North) 6’0 180 Hudl/X– Jonathan has moved up to the #41 spot from #75. The term “athlete” may not be enough to describe what Jonathan does for Westerville North, where he plays seemingly everywhere on the field on both sides of the ball. He can lineup both outside and inside at receiver as well as in the backfield taking handoffs and getting direct snaps from the center. He may shine even brighter on the opposite side of the ball playing safety. He plays very physical and does well in run defense. His speed and twitch that makes him a playmaker on offense also translates really well to the defensive side of the ball where he has good hip flexibility and fluidity and the speed to cover a large range of the field. He shows great ball skills on both sides of the ball as well where he is effective catching passes from the backfield and lined up as a receiver as well as on defense where he is able to challenge receivers on balls in the air. It would be hard for a D1 coach to not find on fit for him on their team with just how versatile he is.
DB Airriss Rosemond Airriss Rosemond 5'11" | 170 lbs | DB Princeton | 2025 State OH (Princeton) 5’11 170 Hudl/X– Airriss has moved up to the #44 from #74. He had an injury early into this season that only allowed him to play 4 1/2 games. In those games he was impressive, showing good physicality at both the LOS in press and in run defense with good open field tackling on the perimeter. In man coverage he excels at reading and matching the opposing receiver’s hips and has the flexibility and change of direction to keep up with anyone. He is good at finding the ball when it is in the air and making a play on it. With a full senior season ahead of him, his impressive play will continue to get him on the radar of more schools.
DL Trey Verdon Trey Verdon 6'1" | 215 lbs | DL Hamilton | 2025 State OH (Hamilton) 6’1 215 Hudl/X– Trey has moved up to the #47 spot from #78. He may not have the biggest frame for an edge, but he still shows good play strength and the ability to bull rush big offensive tackles. His quickness and explosiveness is what really stands out on film. He shows the ability to beat a tackle to the inside with a quick move but also can out leverage a tackle to the outside as a speed rusher with his quick first step off the LOS and good use of hands. His ankle flexibility and change of direction in addition to his quickness make it frustrating for offensive lineman to even put a hand on him before he beats them off the line and is already to the ball. He has already received multiple P5 offers and there is no doubt that he will continue to receive more.
