I just talked about Jabin in my Top 5 article. In short, he’s a lethal dual-threat quarterback who’s shown phenomenal upside in his first season for St. Mary’s.
Highlights
Duke is still a pretty raw prospect, but I love his trajectory. Duke stands strong in the pocket, doesn’t panic, and overall has a good pocket presence. His mechanics are good for a freshman. He seems to love throwing to the middle of the field and he shows some good touch throwing over defenders. If he stays on a consistent path, he’ll be a great quarterback in the toughest league in Michigan.
(Pasted from my 2027 Rankings Spreadsheet)rnKid can ball especially for a freshman attending a tiny D7 school. Stands strong in pocket, good fundamentals, good throw power, accuracy, and can read a defense pretty well. Can make an accurate throw to any part of the field. Great placement on some passes with good power/touch. This does not look like a JV quarterback. With training, he could be super good. I adore his current film.

Great fundamental foundation. Stands strong in pocket. Keeps eyes downfield when scrambling. Great throw power. Thows nicely to out routes near sidelines. Good timing with receivers. Love his filmrnLakeshore has a great Quarterback for the next few years. I just hope Landon is able to consistently improve and not plateau. With a ton of offseason work, he’ll be a great prospect.

I’m looking forward to seeing what Grayson is able to do at Kenowa Hills. He’s a prospect that’s been on my radar for a few years now, and I know he’s a very experienced QB for a freshman. Just about everything from his fundamentals, IQ, and accuracy I’d say is well above-average for a Freshman QB, but nothing about him has blown me away yet. I’m confident that Grayson will be a great Varsity quarterback, but I have a lot of trouble predicting his trajectory.
Highlights
James was initially a bit lower on this list until I saw him at Legacy last weekend. I thought his fundamentals looked inconsistent on film, but in a more controlled 7v7 scenario at Legacy he looked a lot more calm and consistent. He also made more good throws and read the defense better than I had expected. Still a lot to work on, but I love his upside.
Highlights
Bryce is on track to be yet another great Caledonia Quarterback. He may not get significant Varsity time for a while because of a 26′ star in front of him, but he’s proven over the season and offseason that he fits perfectly in the Cal offense. His film shows him running that rollout pass offense very well, and shows good accuracy on the run. Last weekend, I saw him and didn’t love his performance, but I now understand he’s dealing with some injuries. If he just keeps his head down and works, he’ll be just fine.
Highlights
Samson is a raw prospect, and there are some good QBs in the East Kentwood system in the classes ahead of him. Though seriously, I love his upside. Some of his highlights show phenomenal dual-threat ability as he’s able to dodge defenders in the open field like a great running back. His athletesism is elite for a freshman. His throwing mechanics need to be cleaned up, but if he can improve his throwing abilities, he could be a great prospect.
Highlights
Darcyn is a raw pro-style quarterback. He has a good foundation when it comes to his mechanics. He has some throws flashing decent rhythm and timing. I’m looking forward to seeing his improvement over the next year!
Highlights
Gannon is a very raw prospect at this moment. He was a JV quarterback this past fall, but a good one at that. He has decent arm talent and shows a lot of general promise. He is at the bottom of the rankings, and he’s ranked because I’m optimistic about his opportunity to grow and get some good varsity playing time in the Lakes Valley conference.
