The rising Senior prospect exploded onto the scene this off-season, and had a stellar Junior season for Modesto Christian. He has elite length for the tackle position at the next level, and although playing on the edge in high school, he could find himself playing tackle in college due to his length, frame and ability to pack on more weight. He moves every well for his size, has good feet in space, body control and flashes violence and a strong punch at the POA. Checking into our ranks as a top five prospect at his position, he is a no brainer to enter into our rankings this time around. The four-star prospect has offers already from USC, Minnesota, Cal and Washington and it should not be long until the national offers continue to roll in.
Knapp has been having a productive off-season and has been flying a bit under the radar as far as Junior prospects go across the bay Area. He has elite length for the edge position and is explosive off the ball with heavy hands and good bend and closing speed around the edge when collapsing the pocket. Also effective in the run game with a quick lockout, low base and strong lower half, he is a no brainer Div. I caliber kid that will likely be getting his first offer soon. He checks in just outside the top 30 at the position, and could be a candidate to rise up the ranks in the next update.
Huegel is one of the top players in the Northern Section, and one of the more productive two-way prospects Norcal has to offer. He anchors the line for one of the better small school teams in the region, and projects as a inside guy at the next level due to his frame, that can pack on more size and movement abilities inside. He flashes nice twitch and has active hands at the POA, while doing an excellent job at re-setting the LOS in the run game and exploding off the ball while playing violent. Huegel offers position versatility, but is a mismatch inside due to his quick first step and heavy hands at the POA.
