Rumbles about this young man running sub 4.5, would love to have him run under a stopwatch at one of our camps. Angle-beating speed off the edge, defenses can’t let this kid get loose or break contain, it’s likely he’s going to run for 15+ if not more. Elusive and subtle too, can change gears and direction in a flash. Involved in some misdirection sets, also involved as a wildcat QB, taking direct snaps and hitting edges without a handoff. Likely one of the tougher matchups in the open field. Can and is a factor in the return game, will likely see a boost in this role as a senior. Enjoyed plugging in his tape.

Speaking to some on the coaching staff, Jake Howe Jake Howe 6’3″ | 190 lbs | QB Wilkes Barre | 2026 State PA already checks off many boxes before plugging on the tape. Great height/weight combination, great grades/GPA, solid production coming out of Wilkes-Barre. First rep has Howe chucking a 35+ bomb downfield from a clean pocket. Next rep you can see the same throw in terms of air-yards, except this time, Howe is escaping pressure, throwing off-platform, and slinging a 35-yard bomb while running laterally. Confidence is through the roof, witnessed testing unbelievably tight windows downfield. There’s real arm talent here. Some might question the comp. Operates out of gun primarily, ton of trips and four-wide sets. Don’t see this often but I’d argue that Howe and the WBA offense specifically look to attack defenses vertically. With Howe behind center it makes sense. The 2026 PA QB class is a special one, excited to see how Howe fits in the statewide mix.
Brayden Charles Brayden Charles 6'3" | 195 lbs | WR Hempfield | 2025 State PA
Brayden Charles Brayden Charles 6'3" | 195 lbs | WR Hempfield | 2025 State PA
Primaries as an outside lane wideout. Can serve as an impact blocker out wide, can be tasked with stretching the field vertically. Not a blazer but is seen getting open thanks to his longer-than-average stride. Has a rep or two on tape that showcases his high-pointing ability, I think he could be a better producer next Fall. Rest of tape has him serving as a trustworthy comeback/hitch/slant runner. Sure hands for the most part. Wouldn’t be surprised to see his stock boosted this time next year.
Cameron Margeson Cameron Margeson WR Hempfield | 2025 State PA

No season tape which is a shame, have a feeling this is the main producer for Jackson Landis Jackson Landis 6’1″ | 185 lbs | QB Hempfield | 2024 State PA out at Hempfield. At least in terms of air yards. Cameron Margeson Cameron Margeson WR Hempfield | 2025 State PA , standing at 6’2, 180 pounds, he boasts and carries a similar build to above-mentioned Brayden Charles Brayden Charles 6’3″ | 195 lbs | WR Hempfield | 2025 State PA . Has to have at least 500 yards of receiving inside of 6 single-game cuts up on Hudl. I’ll save an eval for a later date, until I see a full season tape.

Can station as a WR or Safety, can serve as Columbia’s QB which a ton of tape showcases. Can kick for Columbia as well. Multi-faceted game out of Freshman Cameron McClair Cameron McClair 6’1″ | 160 lbs | QB Columbia | 2027 State PA . A whopping 26-minute tape full of production fully encompasses the athlete behind center at Columbia. Freshman tape is sadly in chronological order, not best plays first, so it’s tough to fully convey his complete skillset unless you watch his entire 26-minute tape. The young man unlocks the ability to attack a defense vertically. First game has him launching deep balls for scores with minimal hitch. Mechanics look clean when pressure is contained. Kicks XPs after TDs. Operates in a spread offense, is often asked to move his platform to throw, or tuck and run outside the tackles. Is willing to throw into coverage, there’s confidence but the young man should tone down some of his tosses into triple coverage. Good athlete, makes him a good improviser when things go awry. High release, lets go of the ball near the top fo his facemask. Heavy producer for just a freshman, likely to stay that way if he stays at Columbia for four years.
I’ll be able to get this young man ranked moving forward now that I have some kind of tape to work with. Orion Abrams Orion Abrams 5’10” | 160 lbs | WR Hempfield | 2027 PA is yet another Hempfield weapon at Jackson Landis Jackson Landis 6’1″ | 185 lbs | QB Hempfield | 2024 State PA ‘ disposal this past Fall. His tape/produtcion isn’t as extensive as Margeson or Charles, both of which are upperclassman so It makes sense. Yet, I can see why there’s hype surrounding Abrams name. Much more compact build, one that is suitable at or behind the LOS. Can be used in misdirection sets that utlizie his speed off the edge, can used in the screen game, bubble or tunnel. Elusive, can get slippery along the boundary and make some DBs miss. Can work out fo the backfield with the QB as well, is a trustworthy swing option for QBs who don’t like what they see downfield. I want to see more before getting too excited, yet the kid is clearly an piece to the puzzle for Hempfield.

Works well as a tandem with Adrian Smith Adrian Smith 5’8″ | 160 lbs | RB Penn Manor | 2024 PA . Serves as the FB but can see carries if Penn Manor wants to get cute. Looks good with the football too, some FBs are unnatural when asked to carry the rock. Tape has him coming off the edge with his hand off the dirt. Good pursuit, gets a jump off the ball when blitzing that often has him in the backfield untouched. TFLs on tape. Dsiciplined player who can read and understand the block in front of him. Doesn’t shoot up field with his head cut off, doesn’t hesitate either. Great option to play MIKE backer, likely his main role on the defense. Can align anywhere between both C-gaps. Want to see more reps strictly in run support. I see turnovers and good blitzes off the edge, want to know that I can trust him stopping the run as a MIKE backer, which is obviously essential for next level projection.
