While the Black Knights lost a ton defensively they have some key offensive pieces coming back and quarterback

is one of them. I have talked about his skill set before but it has to be mentioned he is one of the best returning qbs in the entire league. That says a lot when you have the likes of division 1 prospects

returning, I would put Landis up their too. May not quite at their level but Landis made the most of his situation last year as a first year starter and will continue to do so this fall.

Jackson Landis Jackson Landis 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB Hempfield | 2024 State PA is a name coaches should stash away. We all should remember that the Hempfield quarterback led the program to a #1 seed as a first-time starter. This is the type of passer that could easily see a boost in stock and rank, especially if he’s improved on his already impressive skillset. 6’1, 185 pounds, 3.83 GPA, Jackson Landis Jackson Landis 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB Hempfield | 2024 State PA has a senior year under his belt, one that could have squarely in the mix for D2 offers. He might be capable of more, time will tell. Landis has made his rounds, visiting UPenn, Bucknell, and Delaware in recent months.

While Hempfield did lose a number of starters defensively (10!) their signal caller returns for 2024. Landis led the Black Knights to their first section title in nearly 20 years in his first season as Hempfield’s starting quarterback. Tallying 24 total touhdowns Landis makes his squad go with his arm and legs. With the graduations of Grant Hoover Grant Hoover 5'9" | 170 lbs | ATH Hempfield Area | 2023 State PA and Stephen Katch, I expect Landis’s passing touchdowns to double this year. He throws an excellent deep ball and can step into the pocket to take a hit. His speed and size alone are in my opinion more than enough for several PSAC schools to come calling rather quickly.

I am really liking what Jackson Landis Jackson Landis 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB Hempfield | 2024 State PA is doing thus far behind center for Hempfield. I’m seeing quality reps from each game tape, even last week despite the team picking up its first loss of the year. Take what Landis did against William Penn in week two for example.
12/18 passing, 175 air yards, 68 rushing yards, and four total touchdowns.
Landis proved to have some clutch in his game too, coming up big with a deep ball in this one to take the lead with 12 seconds remaining. His confidence is growing.
