Every Thursday on Prep Redzone Oklahoma, we’ve given you several names to know before games kick off each week. This week, it’s the final week of the regular season and the stakes are incredibly high. We have some outstanding games across the state and to read more about them, you can check out our post from earlier in the week right here. For now, we break down five names that will be playing in some of the biggest games this week and even have a few bonus names to know as well. Check back this weekend when we feature the top performers from week ten and begin all of our playoff preview content!
#4 Choctaw is looking to lock up a first round bye next week and in order to do that, they need to beat a Ponca City team that has won five in a row after starting this season 0-4. Fortunately for the Yellowjackets, their junior quarterback is coming off the best game of his career. Cash Williams Cash Williams 6’1″ | 205 lbs | ATH Choctaw | 2025 State OK was an absolute star for the 6A-2 title contender last week as he accounted for well over 500 yards of total offense. Williams threw for over 400 yards and also added over 100 yards on the ground. Williams is one of the best athletes in 6A-2 football and he’s one of the best dual-sport athletes this season. Before he would have that memorable night, he announced his commitment to play college baseball for Tennessee. Williams has played really well when we’ve seen him in person and if last week was any indication, he’s playing some of his best ball at a good time.
In Class 2A, arguably the top game this week takes place in Tulsa as #5 Victory Christian hosting #6 Kiefer with the district championship on the line. Kiefer is looking to close out the perfect regular season at 10-0 and they’ll get a big test from a Victory Christian team that can absolutely light up the scoreboard. Kiefer senior standout Jentry Pendergraft Jentry Pendergraft 6’1″ | 205 lbs | LB Kiefer | 2024 State OK is a player that we’ll have our eye on coming into this contest considering the overall impact he can have on a game. On offense, Pendergraft provides power running from the running back position. On defense, he is a tackling machine and he’ll look to put pressure on a Victory Christian quarterback that has been outstanding all season. Pendergraft is a player that impressed us in October when we got a chance to see Kiefer in person. Pendergraft is one of several two-way players to watch in this game.
Highlights
It’s the game of the week in Class 6A-1 as top-ranked and defending champion Bixby will travel to Jenks in a match-up for the district championship. Senior standout Kordell Gouldsby Kordell Gouldsby 5’11” | WR Bixby | 2024 State OK has been an absolute star for the Spartans this season and he’s impacted all three phases of the game. On offense, Gouldsby is arguably Bixby’s top weapon. We still don’t understand why any team would elect to punt to Gouldsby but he continues to make teams pay for that decision with multiple punts that he’s returned for scores. Gouldsby shined bright last year in the regular season meeting with the Trojans. Despite Jenks beating Bixby and ending their state-record winning streak, Gouldsby was still one of the best players on the field. There’s no national TV audience or state-record winning streak but Gouldsby will still be one of the best players on the field this week.
Class A’s #4 Woodland is in bounce back mode this week after suffering their first loss of the season last week. They went on the road and lost a heartbreaker to top-ranked Hominy. Despite the loss in the final minute, junior quarterback Trey Bennett Trey Bennett 6’3″ | 195 lbs | QB Woodland | 2025 State OK was impressive as a passer and as a runner in the loss. The Cougars are still one of the teams to watch in Class A with the playoffs around the corner and they’ll look to pick up some momentum heading into the postseason with a win over Tonkawa this week. Bennett was one of Woodland’s best overall athletes last season. This year, he moved to the quarterback position and has had an excellent year in his first season as a full time starter at quarterback. Bennett shined earlier this year at one of our prospect camps and it was good to see him with the pads on and having the same kind of impact.
Highlights
5A’s top-ranked and defending champion Carl Albert is getting ready to go after another state championship. Before they can focus ont he 5A playoffs, they’ll face off with Piedmont in the regular season finale. The Titans have already locked up the district crown and should be somewhat rested after a bye week last week. Senior running back and OU commit Xavier Robinson Xavier Robinson 6’2″ | 225 lbs | RB Carl Albert | 2024 State OK has been one of the best running backs in the state over the last two seasons. In last year’s meeting with Piedmont, Robinson got banged up early on in the game and actually sat for the majority of the week ten match-up. This season, Robinson and the Titans will look to pick up some momentum as they head into the playoffs. The last time we saw Robinson, he and Carl Albert were surviving a trip to Guthrie with a go-ahead score in the final minute of the game.
MORE NAMES TO KNOW THIS WEEK
Barrett Travis Barrett Travis 6'1" | RB Heritage Hall | 2025 State OK – 2025 Running Back – Heritage Hall
3A’s top-ranked Heritage Hall found themselves in a challenging district contest with Sulphur last week and junior running back Barrett Travis Barrett Travis 6'1" | RB Heritage Hall | 2025 State OK rose to the challenge. He was one of the top performers from week nine and the Chargers will look to keep him involved again this week. Heritage Hall will host a Marlow team that is desperate for a win and the Chargers will be in for another fight. After a 7-0 start, Marlow has dropped their last two games.
Jalen Lane Jalen Lane 5'9" | ATH Newcastle | 2027 OK – 2027 Wide Receiver – Newcastle
Newcastle is in bounce back mode after losing a tough rivalry game with Tuttle last week. The Racers have one of the more balanced offenses in Class 4A and they have a few freshmen shining bright on offense. 2027 wide receiver Jalen Lane Jalen Lane 5'9" | ATH Newcastle | 2027 OK leads the team in receiving touchdowns with five touchdown catches on the year. The Racers are squaring off with Bethany and the winner will avoid having to play a district champion in the first round.
Matrail Lopez Matrail Lopez 6'0" | 175 lbs | ATH Idabel | 2025 State OK – 2025 Athlete – Idabel
2A’s #4 Idabel is having a season to remember but arguably the biggest challenge comes Friday night when they face district rival Eufaula. Junior standout Matrail Lopez Matrail Lopez 6'0" | 175 lbs | ATH Idabel | 2025 State OK has been one of the top playmakers in Class 2A and has helped lead the Warriors to their best start in recent memory. But Eufaula is the next hurdle for Lopez and the Warriors to overcome. The district championship will be on the line Friday night and Idabel is looking to make more history.
Nehemiah Kolone Nehemiah Kolone 6'4" | 245 lbs | DL Stillwater | 2026 State OK – 2026 Defensive Lineman – Stillwater
6A-2 defending champion Stillwater hosting top-ranked Muskogee is hands down one of the top games this week in Oklahoma. The Pioneers will try to slow down Muskogee’s high-powered offense. One way they’ll do that is sophomore defensive lineman Nehemiah Kolone Nehemiah Kolone 6'4" | 245 lbs | DL Stillwater | 2026 State OK up front. In a game earlier this season, Kolone really impressed with his ability to terrorize the line of scrimmage. If he has success against a talented and veteran. Rougher O-line, he could have a big game.
Scott Rigby Scott Rigby 5'11" | ATH Collinsville | 2026 State OK – 2026 Running Back – Collinsville
It seems like every year for the last five seasons, Collinsville has had one of the more physical running backs in the state. This year, they have two but the future is bright with sophomore Scott Rigby Scott Rigby 5'11" | ATH Collinsville | 2026 State OK in the backfield. Rigby is closing in on 1,000 yards on the season and he’s splitting carries. Next year, he should be the marquee back and put up some monster numbers. But first, Rigby and Collinsville have a massive game against Claremore.
