<p>Week eleven has come and gone and there were plenty of standout performers in the second week of the WV high school football season. Here are 23 athletes that stood out during week eleven of the season.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='370324' first='Maxwell' last='Molessa'] may have saved his best performance for last at least for the regular season as he scored six total touchdowns in the Yellowjackets' win over perennial power Wheeling Central. Although the Maroon Knights are in a rebuilding year, many thought this game would be competitive but Molessa and Williamstown flexed their muscles and shut down that theory real quick. He finished with 2 passing touchdowns and four rushing touchdowns on 8 carries for 241 yards and an insane 30-yards-per-carry average.</p>

<p>Wirt County senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='866524' first='Chase' last='Lowe'] has finished the season strong with another big rushing performance in their 37-6 win over Webster County. The Tigers secured a playoff spot with the win behind the running of Lowe. He rushed for 286 yards and four touchdowns in the game on 24 carries. Lowe now has 1,600 yards rushing and 18 touchdowns heading into the playoffs while setting the school record for single-season rushing yards.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='370426' first='Sean' last='Winfrey'] - Tyler Consolidated '24 RB</strong></p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='370426' first='Sean' last='Winfrey'] and his Tyler Consolidated Knights had a strong finish to the season in a 27-13 win over Doddridge County that really helped their playoff seeding. Winfrey continued his senior season tear against the Bulldogs and eclipsed 200 yards rushing yet again this year. Winfrey finished with 242 yards and two touchdowns in the game and bumped his team to the #10 seed in the playoffs.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='894721' first='Kaiden' last='Sims'] - Meadow Bridge '26 RB</strong></p>

<p>Stud sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='894721' first='Kaiden' last='Sims'] has now gone over the 200-yard rushing mark for the third straight game as Meadow Bridge defeated Craig County (VA) 30-14 to bring the Wildcats' season record to 5-5. Sims rushed for 254 yards and three touchdowns in the game and has been unstoppable in recent weeks. He finished his sophomore season with 1,605 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns as Meadow Bridge has something to build around the next two years.</p>

<p>Cameron junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='907172' first='Klypsan' last='Wallace'] saved his best performance for the last game of the regular season as he had his highest rushing production of the season. Wallace carried the ball 31 times for 284 yards and two touchdowns in the Dragons' 48-7 win over Pendleton County. This put him over the 1,000-yard rushing mark on the year as he now has 1,200 yards rushing and 17 touchdowns. </p>

<p>The Cameron Dragons duo of [player_tooltip player_id='1078417' first='Colson' last='Wichterman'] and [player_tooltip player_id='907172' first='Klypsan' last='Wallace'] this season has been deadly for opposing defenses as they both reached the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the season in their win over Pendleton County. Wichterman, who has been starting games since his freshman year, threw for four touchdowns on 10 of 15 passing for 133 yards. He also carried the ball 14 times for 78 yards and has the chance to go over 1,000 yards passing and rushing on the season in their playoff game against Man.</p>

<p><strong>Tyler Barnhouse - Richwood '24 RB</strong></p>

<p>Richwood senior running back Tyler Barnhouse had another big performance this season in the Lumberjacks' win over Hundred. Barnhouse ran for 178 yards and two touchdowns in the game. He also added two 2-point conversions and had 4 tackles and 2 pass breakups on defense in Richwood's 44-26 win.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1139394' first='Calob' last='James'] - Doddridge County '26 DL</strong></p>

<p>The Doddridge County Bulldogs have something with sophomore linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1139394' first='Calob' last='James'] who is their leading tackler with 20 more tackles than the second-leading tackler. James had a huge night on defense in their tough loss to Tyler Consolidated. He finished the game with 20 total tackles including 13 solo stops. James also blocked a punt in the game and currently has 87 total tackles on the season in his sophomore campaign. </p>

<p>The Paden City Wildcats may have just narrowly missed the playoffs but they had their first winning season since 2001 and have a very promising athlete in sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='894728' first='Brayden' last='Neff']. Neff has had multiple big performances this season but when star senior [player_tooltip player_id='370424' first='Joey' last='Baker'] went down with an injury in their previous game the Wildcats leaned on the running of Neff. He answered the call with 24 carries for 182 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Neff added two more touchdowns in the passing game on 2 catches for 36 yards and scoring on both of them. He added a fumble recovery on defense and finished the season with 1,031 all-purpose yards, 47 tackles, and 5 interceptions.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='865708' first='Layton' last='Dowdy'] and his James Monroe Mavericks secured the #1 overall seed in the Class A playoffs after their 35-32 win over Class AA power Bluefield. The junior quarterback was crucial in the Mavericks' victory as he scored four total touchdowns in the game. Dowdy completed 12 of 18 passes for 170 yards and a touchdown through the air but was really deadly with his legs. He rushed for three touchdowns in the game to bring his total to four on the night as James Monroe will host Sherman in the first round of the playoffs. </p>

<p>Another week, another [player_tooltip player_id='1096621' first='Jake' last='Pate'] weekly standout for the Greenbrier West Cavaliers. He's been on fire the past few weeks as Greenbrier West closes out an undefeated regular season and the #4 seed in the playoffs. Pate rushed for 164 yards and three touchdowns in their win over Moorefield 63-16. </p>

<p>Another sophomore standout for the Doddridge County Bulldogs from their loss to Tyler Consolidated was wide receiver and defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='866670' first='Landon' last='Thomas']. Thomas performed well on both offense and defense in the game and had 5 catches for 102 yards and two touchdowns. That's a 20.8 yards per catch average and first game this season that he's went over 100 receiving yards. His play on defense was just as good with 10 total tackles, 2 TFLs, 1 PBU, a forced fumble, and a blocked field goal top cap off a great individual performance.</p>

<p>Tucker County senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='865476' first='Ethan' last='Rosenau'] brushed off a shaky performance last week and finished strong in week 11 as the Mountain Lions finished the regular season undefeated. Rosenau tossed five touchdowns in the game on 17 of 22 passing for a 155 QB rating. This put him over 1,500 passing yards for the season and 28 passing touchdowns as Tucker County clinched the #2 seed in the Class A playoffs.</p>

<p>Tucker County had a trio of big performances in their 64-7 blowout of Class AAA Hampshire with junior RB/LB [player_tooltip player_id='1092726' first='Jared' last='Reall'] being the second Mountain Lion to stand out. Reall carried the ball 16 times for 153 yards and two touchdowns in the game putting him just shy of 1,000 rushing yards on the year with 939. Reall added 8 tackles on defense as the two-way star now has 101 total tackles on the season. </p>

<p><strong>Garret Wilfong - Tucker County '25 WR</strong></p>

<p>The third Mountain Lion to have a big night against Hampshire is big junior receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1092739' first='Garrett' last='Wilfong']. Wilfong had his best performance of the season by far with 7 catches for 188 yards and a touchdown for a 26.9 yards per catch average. Wilfong is part of Tucker County's three-headed monster at receiver this season and has 482 yards receiving and 7 touchdowns on the year heading into the playoffs.</p>

<p>St. Marys star senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1104876' first='Ashton' last='Boron'] had his third straight 100-yard rushing performance as the Blue Devils topped Ravenswood 46-6. Boron carried the ball 10 times for 157 yards and two touchdowns in the game bringing him up to 1,000 yards rushing on the season. Boron also had 15 rushing touchdowns and 54 total tackles on defense as the regular season concludes.</p>

<p>Fellow star St. Marys senior [player_tooltip player_id='370470' first='Josiah' last='DeMoss'] also had a big night against Ravenswood and he didn't need very many touches to do so. DeMoss had just 5 carries in the game but scored on four of them as he finished with 45 yards rushing and four touchdowns. He also had a 25-yard interception return and 5 total tackles on defense as St. Marys earned the #6 seed in the playoffs.</p>

<p>Tug Valley has had to turn to stud sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='894624' first='Bryson' last='Elia'] to fill in at quarterback after the usual starter went down with an injury and the Swiss Army Knife proved he can do it all. Elia has had big rushing and receiving games this season so he might as well add passing to his list of abilities while also being a standout at defensive back. Elia completed 13 of 17 passes for 182 yards and four touchdowns in their win over Van. He also rushed 4 times for 81 yards and a fifth score in the game with 5 tackles on defense. </p>

<p>Hundred sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='894625' first='Toby' last='Michael'] continues to have to carry the load with [player_tooltip player_id='888605' first='Karter' last='Parson'] injured and he's doing all he can for the Hornets. They may have fallen to Richwood in their final game of the season but Michael continues to have big performances. He completed three passes for 102 yards and two touchdowns but excelled on the ground as he's done all season. Michael carried the ball 26 times for 213 yards and finished the year with 1,200 yards rushing and 10 rushing touchdowns. He has also been a monster on defense with 142 total tackles and 15 this past week against Richwood.</p>

<p>The Class A sophomore class has some very promising athletes in it but not too many are as promising as Sherman's [player_tooltip player_id='894972' first='Trey' last='Lester']. Lester can run and catch the ball for the Tide and did just that in their 45-14 win over Ritchie County. He had 5 carries for 107 yards and two touchdowns on the ground and two catches for 70 yards and two more touchdowns through the air. Lester has 1,300 all-purpose yards heading into round one of the playoffs. </p>

<p>The Gilmer County Titans just missed making the playoffs but senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='907672' first='Colton' last='Hall'] sent his team and senior class out with a victory after a huge rushing performance in their 34-20 victory over South Harrison. Hall had a game-high 252 rushing yards on 22 carries as he finished the game with four touchdowns and an 11.5 yards per carry average. You'll see his name pop up during baseball season too but Hall is a quality football player as well.</p>

<p>Making his debut in our weekly standouts this season is Midland Trail junior running back Kaden Lephew. Lephew helped secure a playoff berth for his Patriots after a big night carrying the ball in their 51-6 win over Pocahontas County. he finished the night with 200 yards rushing and two touchdowns in the win as Midland Trail comes in at #15 in the playoff seeding. </p>

<p>The Tolsia Rebels have a very promising freshman quarterback in [player_tooltip player_id='1154698' first='Robert' last='Evans'] who has had some big performances this season in his first year of high school. Evans completed 4 of 6 passes for 117 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-32 loss to River View. The dynamic freshman can also run the ball very well as he did in this game with 16 carries for 107 yards and another touchdown. Evans has 687 yards passing and 12 touchdowns with just one interception this season to go along with 515 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.</p>

<p>Another nice athlete for Tolsia is junior WR [player_tooltip player_id='1104858' first='Parker' last='Watts'] who has made several of our weekly standouts this season. Watts was big in both the running and passing game in Tolsia's loss to River View. He had 63 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 3 carries along with 3 catches for 113 yards and another touchdown. This put him up to 808 all-purpose yards on the season with one more year of high school to go.</p>
