Without any further ado, here’s my list of some of the top performers in Kentucky from Week 12 that are definitely worth keeping an eye on as the playoffs continue.
rnAt the top of my list of notable performers is Montavin Quisenberry Montavin Quisenberry 5’9″ | 160 lbs | ATH Boyle County | 2025 State KY , an athlete at Boyle County High School. Quisenberry and the Rebels are coming off a 41-6 blowout win over Whitley County last week. Quisenberry helped boost offensive production on the ground in Boyle County’s last matchup, proving his breakaway speed and durability from along the edge. Quisenberry also stands out with is his footwork and versatility, showcasing his ability to quickly change directions and juke out the defense on his way into the endzone.

rnI am additionally impressed with Deuce Bailey Deuce Bailey 6’1″ | 170 lbs | QB Bowling Green | 2025 State KY , a quarterback at Bowling Green High School. Bailey and the Purples earned a 48-6 rout of Apollo this past week. What makes Bailey such an explosive weapon at the helm of Bowling Green’s offense is his electric speed, quick release and his ability to adapt to heavy pressure. Bailey’s precision in the air is also impressive, showing off his ability to get the ball out of his hands before contact as well as his consistency in hitting his receivers in stride on deep passes. Bailey’s accuracy in the air is another aspect of his game that has helped the Purples to consistently punch into the endzone.

Highlights
rnClaiming the number three spot on my list is Marlon Harbin Marlon Harbin 5’11” | 170 lbs | WR Saint Xavier | 2026 State KY , a wide receiver at St. Xavier High School. Harbin and the Tigers picked up a commanding 58-0 win over Oldham County last week. What makes Harbin so efficient down the stretch is his breakaway speed, explosiveness in coverage and his ability to attack the ball in the backfield to put the offense in a solid scoring position. Harbin’s ability to utilize space from along the edge as well as break tackles on his way to the house makes him a dangerous offensive weapon on St. Xavier’s roster to sleep on as the playoffs continue.

rnAnother skilled prospect to keep an eye on is Brady Hensley Brady Hensley 6’0″ | 200 lbs | RB Lexington Christian Academy | 2024 State KY , a running back at Lexington Christian Academy. Hensley and the Eagles collected a 63-6 blowout victory over Clinton County this past week. Hensley is nearly unstoppable on the ground for Lexington Christian due to his explosive speed off the snap and ability to dodge and weave the defense on his way into the backfield. Hensley also makes an impact in the pocket, using his strength to collapse the defensive line and break free into the backfield. Hensley’s ability to punch into the endzone is another aspect of his game that has made a considerable difference this year.

rnComing in at number five on my list is Jack Chappell Jack Chappell 6’2″ | 200 lbs | LB North Laurel | 2024 State KY , a linebacker at North Laurel High School. Chappell and the Jaguars are coming off a 54-0 blowout win over Montgomery County last week. Chappell stood out on both sides for North Laurel in his last contest, contributing offensively as a receiver. On the offensive end, Chappell stood out with his breakaway speed, hauling in an impressive touchdown pass. On the other side of the ball, Chappell made a difference with his positioning and defensive awareness, proving he can make quick tackles, stop the rush and lock down the backfield.

rnAlso worth mentioning is Martels Carter Jr Martels Carter Jr 6’0″ | 185 lbs | ATH Paducah Tilghman | 2025 State KY ., a defensive back at Paducah Tilghman High School. Carter and the Blue Tornado picked up a 70-0 rout of Breckinridge County this past week. Carter’s quick execution and versatility make him nearly unstoppable down the stretch, proving he can quickly cut into the center of the field for the pass and remain untouched by the defense as he takes it to the house. On the other side of the ball, Carter catches my attention with his ability to quickly disrupt the offense, using his physicality and defensive strength to quickly dive for tackles and apply pressure on the quarterback.
