Led Choate Rosemary Hall to back-to-back Founder’s League trophies, doing so without putting a notch in the loss column all year. Holds a PWO from UConn, as well as some scholarship offers out of FCS programs Cornell and Georgetown. Had a chance to see him throw balls up close and personal this past summer during my trip out to see every NEPSAC school in the area. Was impressed. Eval coming off his recently released senior tape on Hudl.

Ton of upper-body torque coupled with a cemented base. Awesome scanner of the field, love watching Rubino drop back and release in rhythm, but the kid does a great job scanning and moving his eyes from read to read, all the while resetting his feet/base properly. Flashes flare, has a couple throws on the run where he can show off unique arm angles, even some elevated throws after leaving the turf. Any college courting Rubino will have to bump him up boards solely because of the intangibles and experience the kid provides. The winning, the leadership, the command in and out of huddles. He’s a kid you can count on. Operates in a spread system, yet his dropbacks vary. Accurate and smart with the football, unsure what his interception numbers look like, I’d bet they are low. Will be thought of to be back in the top five of his position, currently at 6.

Eval will be based on his mid-season tape since no full-season tape has been released. Will note that Ciancio led a game-winning drive this past weekend in a post-season game for Tewksbury. Hope to see a complete tape before the rankings update comes around. Awesome downfield accuracy, absolutely laces some footballs and puts the ball where only his guy can get it, talking 30+ yards downfield. Big arm, currently ranked as the 25th best passer in a loaded 2025 class. Top 300 prospect. Many of the passing concepts I see on tape require time, both from the QB and the OL unit. Throws a rocket with plenty of hip torque behind his throws. Majority of tape shows off his cannon, yet if you can stick around a bit, you’ll see some timing and in-rhythm tosses hitting outs, curls, and digs. If this is just a mid-season, I’m excited to see what his full-tape will look like.

Recruitment yet to heat up, facing an uphill battle considering his stature. Has some good things going for him though in terms of tape. Checked out his regular season senior year tape posted a couple of weeks ago. Works primarily out of gun, 5’10 in cleats, goes to about 5’9 in the pocket. Has no problem launching balls deep, throws a catchable ball, one that can float, one that wideouts can run under. You’ll see occasional play-action sets called out of I-formation with Melton working under center, providing value to his name from the eyes of a potential recruiter. Was a serious threat to tuck bootlegs and make undisciplined defense pay. Good downfield locater, Height is main hold-up. Good GPA.

Love the consistent uploads on Hudl, don’t love the fact that there is no mid-season or full-season tape for coaches to turn on at this point. Not exactly a huge deal, but an evaluation will come at a later date. I plugged in the Quincy tape and loved his downfield accuracy, numerous downfield throws that were practically handed to wideouts 30+ yards downfield. If the rest of Galligan’s tape looks like this, I’ll be forced to move him up on our ranks.

Complete season evaluation. Ranked as a top-six sophomore passer, will likely jump up on our ranks. Absolute rocket for an arm, one of the more complete release packages I’ve seen out of underclassmen passers. Can launch footballs 40+ yards without his base, while getting hit in the mouth, tape proves it. Next-level anticipatory throws, seen hitting seam benders before his target even passes backers in the secondary. Milton Academy likes to move the launch point (to the right), forcing defenses to account for McNeill potentially running for first downs, or tossing balls deep when working flood concepts. Can zip balls in a throw frozen ropes, can change tempo, and throw moonshots when targeting wheels downfield, love how he can change arcs between plays. Going to be a kid who checks off all the boxes. Special talent carrying a special skill set.

I’m excited about this kid, he not having a full-season tape out is unfortunate. Evaluation will come based on his Week 1-4 tape published two months ago. Big kid who stands tall in the pocket. Hits out-breaking routes very well, a testament to his accuracy, anticipation skills, and arm strength. Will be an easy sell to college coaches in terms of skillset and traits. The physical and mental tools seem to be there. Interested in what recruitment turns out to be like, this coming off-season will be a big one for the Walpole stud. Will rank above many of the 2025 kids listed in this piece. Three-level thrower, what’s more impressive is the reason Mackenzie’s a three-level thrower, fantastic feet and reset ability. Feet are married to his eyes, he can scan the field, make decisions, all the while keeping his next read open throughout his dropback. Exciting prospect.

Ranked as a middle-of-the-pack QB prospect. This evaluation based on Barno’s mid-season tape. Sees in-between the hash marks well, hits seams and slot fades well. Impressed with his ability to move while keeping his eyes downfield. Improvisational skills are a plus, seen eluding pressures left and right, this is a must if you aren’t standing 6’2+. Numerous impromptu throws on tape, can throw from unique platforms/arm angles, etc.. Will deal with the same struggles most undersized QBs deal with in terms of recruiting. Want to see more, yet his mid-season tape is enough to stack up well against other similar QBs. Will turn on his next tape as soon as it drops.
