David Parsons David Parsons 6'3" | 205 lbs | QB Parkersburg | 2024 State WV – Parkersburg ’24 QB
The Player of the Week in the Class AAA opening round of the playoffs had to be Parkersburg senior quarterback David Parsons David Parsons 6'3" | 205 lbs | QB Parkersburg | 2024 State WV . He had as complete of a performance as you can have in a big upset playoff victory over Hurricane. Parsons scored five total touchdowns with three coming through the air and two on the ground. He completed 14 of 22 passes for 192 yards and three touchdowns and a 131.1 QB rating. Parsons also carried the ball 8 times for 37 yards and two touchdowns to total five on the night and a trip to the quarterfinals against Princeton.

Murphy Clement Murphy Clement 5'11" | 190 lbs | ATH Martinsburg | 2024 State WV of Martinsburg also had a very strong case for Player of the Week in the first round of the Class AAA playoffs after a huge night in the Bulldogs’ 55-7 beatdown of Parkersburg South. Clement scored six times in the victory including five touchdown passes. The first score of the game, however, came on a Clement touchdown run to open things up for the Bulldogs. Martinsburg will have a regular season rematch with fellow EPAC foe Jefferson in the quarterfinals with a trip to the semifinals on the line.
Jason Williams Jason Williams 5'9" | 185 lbs | RB Parkersburg | 2024 State WV – Parkersburg ’24 RB/DE
Parkersburg running back Jason Williams Jason Williams 5'9" | 185 lbs | RB Parkersburg | 2024 State WV had a very good performance in the Big Reds’ upset win over Hurricane as the #13 seed in the Class AAA playoffs. He carried the ball 17 times for 131 yards and a touchdown in the 47-23 win while averaging 7.7 yards per carry. Williams also had two catches for 32 yards and finished the game with 176 all-purpose yards and three tackles.
Tyshawn Dues Tyshawn Dues 5'10" | 170 lbs | WR Hurricane | 2025 State WV – Hurricane ’25 WR
The Hurricane Redskins had a tough night against Parkersburg in their round one matchup in the playoffs but junior receiver Tyshawn Dues Tyshawn Dues 5'10" | 170 lbs | WR Hurricane | 2025 State WV was a bright spot in the 47-23 loss. The WVU commit caught 8 passes for 160 yards and a touchdown while averaging 20 yards per catch. Dues had an 82-yard burst in the game and averaged 22.3 yards per punt return on 4 touches.
Max Anderson Max Anderson 6'2" | 200 lbs | ATH Spring Mills | 2025 State WV – Spring Mills ’25 ATH
Junior quarterback Max Anderson Max Anderson 6'2" | 200 lbs | ATH Spring Mills | 2025 State WV kept the dream season going for the Spring Mills Cardinals as they won their second playoff game in school history over Spring Valley 20-17. Anderson threw three touchdown passes including two to 6’6 younger brother Xavier Anderson Xavier Anderson 6'6" | 190 lbs | ATH Spring Mills | 2026 State WV . He had scoring strikes of 21, 36, and 56 in the game and accounted for all three Spring Mills touchdowns. Anderson will have to be on his A++ game when Spring Mills heads to Huntington to take on the #2 Highlanders.
Avonte Crawford Avonte Crawford 6'3" | 185 lbs | QB Huntington | 2025 State WV – Huntington ’25 QB/ATH
Huntington junior quarterback Avonte Crawford Avonte Crawford 6'3" | 185 lbs | QB Huntington | 2025 State WV was very good in the Highlanders’ 59-13 win over Morgantown in round one. Crawford scored three touchdowns in the game using both his arm and legs to reach the end zone. He completed 8 of 13 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns through the air. He added 17 rushing yards and another touchdown to bring his total to three for the game.
Tayveon Wilson Tayveon Wilson 6'3" | 205 lbs | WR Huntington | 2026 State WV – Huntington ’26 WR
Sophomore Tayveon Wilson Tayveon Wilson 6'3" | 205 lbs | WR Huntington | 2026 State WV had a big night for Huntington against Morgantown in their victory in the opening round of the playoffs. Wilson carried the ball 3 times for 63 yards and a touchdown but had an even bigger night at receiver. He caught three passes for 96 yards and two more touchdowns to bring his total to three on the night. Wilson also booted a 50-yard punt and is a very versatile athlete for the Highlanders.
Abraham Fenwick Abraham Fenwick 6'3" | 205 lbs | QB George Washington | 2024 State WV – George Washington ’24 QB
Senior quarterback Abe Fenwick had a very nice performance in George Washington’s tough close loss to Bridgeport in the opening round of the playoffs. He completed 78% of his passes on 22 of 28 passing for 228 yards and three touchdowns to junior teammate Keegan Sack Keegan Sack 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Huntington | 2025 State WV . Fenwick added 27 rushing yards and finished his stellar high school career with over 6,500 yards passing and 76 touchdown passes before heading to William & Mary.
Keegan Sack Keegan Sack 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Huntington | 2025 State WV – George Washington ’25 ATH
Bridgeport was able to bottle up the George Washington running game but junior ATH Keegan Sack Keegan Sack 5'10" | 195 lbs | RB Huntington | 2025 State WV made his mark in the passing game as he’s plenty capable of doing. He caught all three of Abe Fenwick’s touchdown passes in the heartbreaking 28-27 loss in the first round. Sack hauled in 7 passes for 103 yards and three scores in the game. He’s poised to have a huge senior season next year for the Patriots and is a P5 prospect.
Marquel Lowe Marquel Lowe 5'11" | 185 lbs | RB Princeton | 2025 State WV – Princeton ’25 RB
Oak Hill simply couldn’t contain Princeton junior running back Marquel Lowe Marquel Lowe 5'11" | 185 lbs | RB Princeton | 2025 State WV but not many teams could this season. Lowe averaged 11.4 yards per carry on 14 totes for 160 yards and two touchdowns. He’s been one of the best running backs in the state this season and has put up some eye-popping numbers in Princeton’s dynamic offense.
Chance Barker Chance Barker 6'3" | 175 lbs | QB Princeton | 2026 State WV – Princeton ’26 QB
The Bridgeport Indians needed all they could get from standout senior running back Zach Rohrig Zach Rohrig 5'11" | 185 lbs | RB Bridgeport | 2024 State WV in their opening-round win over George Washington 28-27. Rohrig averaged 8.5 yards per carry on 19 touches for 161 yards and a touchdown. He added 4 tackles on defense and the Indians will need everything they can get from him when they travel to Cabell Midland in the quarterfinals.
Bradley Mosser – Princeton ’26 WR
The second star sophomore for the Princeton Tigers is wide receiver Bradley Mosser who had a very efficient night against Oak Hill in their round one win. Mosser caught just three passes but they were big ones as he totaled 128 yards and two touchdowns averaging 42.6 yards per catch. They’ll take on a surging Parkersburg team at home for a chance to go to the semifinals.
Zach Rohrig Zach Rohrig 5'11" | 185 lbs | RB Bridgeport | 2024 State WV – Bridgeport ’24 RB
The Bridgeport Indians needed all they could get from standout senior running back Zach Rohrig Zach Rohrig 5'11" | 185 lbs | RB Bridgeport | 2024 State WV in their opening round win over George Washington 28-27. Rohrig averaged 8.5 yards per carry on 19 touches for 161 yards and a touchdown. He added 4 tackles on defense and the Indians will need everything they can get from him when they travel to Cabell Midland in the quarterfinals.
Tay’Shaun Roper Tay’Shaun Roper 5'7" | 175 lbs | RB Jefferson | 2025 State WV – Jefferson ’25 RB/DB
Junior Jefferson athlete Tay’Shaun Roper Tay’Shaun Roper 5'7" | 175 lbs | RB Jefferson | 2025 State WV was the difference maker in the Cougars’ win over Wheeling Park in round one of the playoffs. Roper ripped off a 90-yard touchdown run in the early stages of the game weaving through the Patriots’ defense on his way to the end zone. He sealed the victory with a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown and the dynamic Roper gets his team to the quarterfinals to face EPAC foe Martinsburg.
