Today, we will be focusing on some high-level junior playmakers on both sides of the ball that were worth all the hype in week 10 of competition.
Highlights
At the top of my list of notable performers is Deuce Bailey Deuce Bailey 6'1" | 170 lbs | QB Bowling Green | 2025 State KY , a 6-foot-1, 170-pound quarterback at Bowling Green High School. Bailey and the Purples blasted past Greenwood 48-13 in their most recent matchup last week. Bailey stands out with his quick execution, ability to hit his receivers in stride on short passes and utilize his pin-point accuracy on deep passes down the field. In addition to solid footwork, I like how Bailey remains composed under pressure and how he gets the ball out of his hands before the defense makes contact.
Highlights
I am additionally impressed with Isaac Sowells Jr. Isaac Sowells Jr. 6'2" | 290 lbs | OL Louisville Male | 2025 State KY , a 6-foot-2, 290-pound offensive lineman at Louisville Male High School. Sowells and the Bulldogs claimed a notable 42-6 blowout win over Bullitt East this past week. Sowells impresses me with his ability to exert his strength and block the defense in the backfield, opening up running room for his teammates. Sowells also makes a difference with his ability to absorb pressure at the line of scrimmage and use his physical edge to knock the defense to the ground.
Claiming the number three spot on my list is Demauriah Brown Demauriah Brown 5'11" | 170 lbs | ATH Boyle County | 2025 State KY , a 5-foot-11, 170-pound running back at Boyle County High School. Brown and the Rebels are coming off a commanding 49-14 victory over Wayne County last week. In addition to outstanding size and speed, what stands out about Brown is his explosiveness and breakaway speed, showcasing his ability to blast through the defense in the pocket and along the edge, using his durable edge to muscle through pressure and force his way into the endzone.
Another skilled prospect to watch for is Brock Coffman Brock Coffman 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR Sayre School | 2025 State KY , a 6-foot-0, 160-pound wide receiver at Sayre High School. Coffman and the Spartans remained undefeated last week, collecting a 12-8 win over Eminence. What I like about Coffman is his ability to stay locked in down the stretch, utilizing strong footwork and turnaround speed to get in front of the pass and maneuver the defense as he barrels into the backfield. Another aspect of Coffman that impresses is his ability to be a reliable passing target in third-down scenarios.
Also worth mentioning is Martels Carter Jr Martels Carter Jr 6'0" | 185 lbs | ATH Paducah Tilghman | 2025 State KY ., a 6-foot-0, 185-pound defensive back at Paducah Tilghman High School. Carter and the Blue Tornado picked up a 70-7 blowout victory over Calloway County last week. In addition to excellent athleticism and physicality, Carter impresses me with his electric speed and ability to be relentless down the stretch, positioning himself in front of passes to pick off the quarterback and make quick stops. Carter has also proven his playmaking ability on offense, blasting into the endzone with his quickness and versatility.
