Demauriah Brown Demauriah Brown 5'11" | 170 lbs | ATH Boyle County | 2025 State KY is a player who has been high on my radar for a while now and has continued to impress this season. Brown has been electric out of the backfield during the first two rounds of the playoffs, running the ball 16 times for 304 yards and four touchdowns. He has blazing speed which he is able to use to hit a second gear once he gets through the line of scrimmage to run away from the defense. Brown has also shown the elusiveness to make defenders miss in the open field. He also plays a key role on defense as a defensive back, accounting for 11 tackles and an interception during the playoffs. Demauriah currently holds offers from Ball State, Western Kentucky, Akron, and West Virginia, and I can see him being a key contributor wherever he decides to play at the next level.

Demauriah Brown Demauriah Brown 5'11" | 170 lbs | ATH Boyle County | 2025 State KY is a player that I could’ve put on both sides of the ball for my Week 2 Top Performers as he impressed in every phase of the game this past week. On defense, Brown played a key role in Boyle County’s secondary during their big win over Lexington Christian Academy. Brown was very impressive in pass coverage, showing the ability to break on the ball with perfect timing to make a play. He finished the game with two interceptions, along with six total tackles. Brown also played a key role on offense, throwing one touchdown pass and catching one while also returning a kickoff return for a touchdown. Demauriah currently holds offers from West Virginia and Eastern Kentucky, and I expect more to come his way soon as he is a very special talent.

Demauriah Brown Demauriah Brown 5'11" | 170 lbs | ATH Boyle County | 2025 State KY is a running back that has been high on our radar for a while now. After a strong two seasons at Danville, he will be transferring to Boyle County to join the Rebels’ high-powered offense. In his last season at Danville, Brown ran the ball 188 times for 1,971 yards and 28 touchdowns. Brown has very impressive vision, showing the patience to let his blockers set up and create a running lane then hit the lane with a sense of urgency when it opens. Once he gets to the second level, Brown has the speed to simply run away from the defense. He has also proven to have special teams value, returning one kickoff for a touchdown last season. Brown currently holds offers from West Virginia and Eastern Kentucky, and I expect more to come his way as he is an FBS caliber running back that could play as high as the Power 5 level.

Arguably one of the fastest running backs in the state, Demauriah Brown Demauriah Brown 5'11" | 170 lbs | ATH Boyle County | 2025 State KY finished the season with 1,971 rushing yards & 28 rushing touchdowns in 12 games played (10.5 yards per carry). Demauriah beats his opponents with his lightning speed, and his acceleration is without a doubt one of the quickest in the state. Brown can break out to his top speed in a matter of a few seconds, and nobody is going to catch up to him. Along with that, his lateral quickness is top-notch which helps him juke out opposing tackles with ease. He is also amazing on special teams as he scored a few touchdowns as the team’s leading returner. There are many people that say, “speed kills”, and that is how you perfectly describe Brown’s game. As of the end of the season, Demauriah has received interest from Eastern Kentucky University, the University of Kentucky, and a few local schools. I expect him to receive more in the future as his game continues to develop with 2 years left of high school ball for the young man.

Another sophomore that stood out to me this season is Demauriah Brown Demauriah Brown 5'11" | 170 lbs | ATH Boyle County | 2025 State KY from Danville. Brown put a lot of people on notice as Danville’s star running back this season, finishing second in 2A in rushing with 152 carries for 1,603 yards and 23 touchdowns. He has great vision out of the backfield and bursts through the running lane as soon as it opens. Once he gets through the second level, he has the speed to run right by defenders on the way to the end zone before they even get the chance to tackle him. He also has shown the ability to make defenders miss in the open field. Brown also scored one touchdown on a kickoff return this year and recorded 28 tackles with five tackles for loss but he shined the brightest out of the backfield. Demauriah doesn’t currently hold any offers but he will be a player to watch over the next two seasons as he has the potential to turn into a high-caliber recruit by his senior season.
