Continue ReadingHeffron has been one of the more electric and fun players to watch on both sides of the ball across the desert for the past few years. He is a well-put together athlete, with elite twitch and playmaking abilities from either the backfield or in the slot. He shows that he can either take direct snaps, or lineup as a running back or in the slot for Chandler. He holds an offer from Lake Forest College, but is a no brainer FCS caliber kid at multiple offensive positions. This weekend he erupted for 330+ yards through the air and six total touchdowns in a close five point loss to Basha. As we draw closer to national signing day, it would not be surprising if in state schools take notice and offer the talented senior.
Highlights
rnBoncore could have been on either side of the stat stars of the week, as he had a tremendous overall game for Cactus against Sunrise Mountain. He hauled in a impressive 11 balls for well over 150 yards and was a true vertical threat on the outside that they had no answer for. He showed that he can get off press coverage at the LOS, while a very smart route runner with strong hands in traffic and can turn small gains into big ones by breaking tackles, finding open space and hitting a third level gear once in the clear. Boncore checks into our rankings as a top ten receiver in the 2025 class and holds one FBS offer from Iowa State. Look for his recruiting stock to rise this off-season, as he should see other power five suitors come calling this Spring.
rnAllen is off to a hot start to his prep career, and has been putting up big numbers for his first season at the high school level. On Friday night he threw for over 350 yards and another 6 touchdowns against Fairfax and should be one of the better pocket passers across Arizona for the next few years. He has solid mechanics for someone his age, shows a quick release and precision ball placement in tight windows, while able to air it out and allow his receivers to run underneath while throwing them open and seems to be on time more often then not with outbreaking and in-breaking routes. He is a kid that should turn some heads this off-season as a rising Sophomore and a name to keep a close eye on.
