Jamar Beal Jamar Beal 6'0" | 170 lbs | DB Desert Edge | 2025 State AZ , DB, ’25
One of the most raked about players in the state, and for good reason, holds around 18 offers thus far. However, Beal-Goines shook up the state as he announced his commitment to Texas A&M at the end of April. A very polished DB with a high ceiling as he commits to an SEC program. Really looking forward to see what he brings to the table during his senior campaign.
David Cabrera, WR, ’25
Cabrera is a very impressive weapon for desert Edge and really needs to be amplified more when we talk about some of the best WR’s in the state. He currently holds an offer from San Diego State, but I think the flood gates are about to open for this kid as he’ll be touted with a major role in that explosive Desert Edge offense this fall.
Jerry Washington Jerry Washington 6'2" | 210 lbs | DL Independence | 2025 State AZ , DE, ’25
Washington has had a great offseason and was able to catch the eye of many around the state, part of this due to his performance at the Fiesta Bowl combine. Since transferring from Independence to Desert Edge, Washington has pulled in offers from Navy, Army, Cornell, and Air force. Washington looks like a kid on the verge of cracking his potential and being that lethal kid along the edges, and should be set up for a prime season here in 2024.
Jalayne Miller Jalayne Miller 6'5" | 325 lbs | OL Desert Edge | 2026 State AZ , OL, ’26
The big man is boomin with a good chunk of offers thus far, with his latest one coming from Kansas. His other offers consist of Wisconsin, Iowa State, Arizona State, Boston College, UNLV, and Georgia Tech. He sizes up with a college ready frame at 6’6″ 320lbs and has OT written all over him at the next level.
Camren Hamiel, DB, ’26
Another new Desert edge kid seeing the offers pour in lately. Hamiel transferred in from Northrop High School in Indiana, and has picked up offers from Bowling Green, Michigan State, Kansas, and UNLV. His presence on that Desert Edge defense really puts them in position as probably the best 5A defense in the state right now, and he’ll have a big opportunity this summer and season to rack up more offers.
Zerek Sidney Zerek Sidney 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR Desert Edge | 2027 State AZ , WR, ’27
The incoming sophomore has put himself on the map this spring and has seen a hot start to his recruitment. He picked up his first two offers in the winter coming from UMass and Colorado State, then recently followed up with offers from Arizona and Washington. With his total up to 4 before he plays a down of his sophomore season, Sidney has the potential to blow up and be one of the highest recruited kids in the state if he can have a solid year, which all signs point to him going off in 2024.
Mikyal Davis Mikyal Davis 6'0" | 155 lbs | DB Desert Edge | 2027 AZ , DB, ’27
Yet another young DB prospect picking up some offers, as Davis recently ignited his recruitment with offers from UNLV and Michigan State. He’s got a ton of potential and is an athletically gifted kid, and I think he is about to introduce himself to the rest of the state here in 2024 and have himself a huge sophomore season. Really looking forward to Davis’s progression throughout the year.
