Continue ReadingHaving two Power Five prospects, both of which are deployable on both sides of the ball as well as returnmen on special teams, is a luxury that will have Neumann-Goretti in games against any program in 3A football, period.
As stated above, both Kahmir Prescott Kahmir Prescott 6’1″ | 190 lbs | ATH Neumann-Goretti | 2024 State PA and Khari Reid Khari Reid 5’10” | 165 lbs | DB Neumann – Goretti | 2024 State PA provide quality reps at all three phases of the game, with Prescott’s talents leaning toward the offensive side of the ball, and Reid, the defensive side of the ball. Prescott and Reid combo as partners in two-high safety sets, making attacking vertically a daunting task for opposing QBs and WRs. Kahmir Prescott Kahmir Prescott 6’1″ | 190 lbs | ATH Neumann-Goretti | 2024 State PA has the ball skills and tracking ability of a premier wideout, the traits translate to safety or slot corner easily, I advise targeting Prescott’s man as little as possible. This being said, Prescott’s presence will be felt on the offensive side of the ball more than anything. Multi-alignmentment capable, can flirt with having Prescott take handoffs in shotgun sets, can deploy Prescott as an X or Z wideout, no route at this level is too much for the Wisconsin commit to handle. Prescott can also alleviate QB duties for Mekhi Wharton Mekhi Wharton 6’5″ | 215 lbs | QB Neumann-Goretti | 2024 State PA . The actual spark to this offense, you can’t put a lid on Prescott’s responsibilities in this offense, not too far from his role at Northeast.
Paired with Prescott is Stanford commit and top three DB Khari Reid Khari Reid 5’10” | 165 lbs | DB Neumann – Goretti | 2024 State PA , who is equally as dominant in his own right. Reid has provided some memorable reps on offense as well as on special teams, yet his prowess is most felt on the defensive side of the football. A true DB whose cover skills can station him at any CB or S alignment. Single-high, Two-high, slot, OTN CB, zone/man, press/off. You can’t go wrong at this level, slotting this young man anywhere in your secondary. Consistently at the hip of even some of the best separators in the PCL, can run stride for stride with track stars in the PCL, too. Couple this with his remarkable ability to fill the alley down from his safety spot. Reid has been a force playing the run, often blowing up plays before LBs in front of him can even react to ball carriers headed their way. A DB who can cover, thwart the run like a backer, and provide a spark on offense and special teams, Reid and Prescott are quite the combination.
6’3, 260, was once one of the more highly sought-after prospects in the state, let alone Philadelphia. Although things have slowed down a bit over the past year, Deshon Dodson Deshon Dodson 6’4″ | 260 lbs | DL Neumann-Goretti | 2024 State PA still has prominent suitors watching him progress through his senior year. Charlotte UNC came through in May and extended an offer to the OL/DL. Despite his previous tapes showing off some quality reps at tackle/guard, tape from this year is almost exclusively displaying DL reps. Can work as an EDGE/DE piece in three or four-man fronts. Works with his hand in the dirt, three-point stance. He can also serve as an IDL, but not much of it on tape because NG already has some kids who like to work the A-B gaps. Dodson works shading either side of the tackle while providing some OL and IDL capabilities if called upon. Dodson isn’t the most athletic bender off the edge, I like his game translating to IDL or IOL at the next level. He tips the scale in favor of power over athleticism, he can toss kids aside if he can get a good jump off the snap and work his hands. Solid shedder, a little slippery if he gets a good get-off. Dodson impacts opposing QBs even if he doesn’t get home every rep, violent finishes leave an impression whether a sack is registered or not.
6’5, 215, works almost exclusively out of shotgun, has the frame college coaches drool over. Still unoffered, in a weird space between grades, some think Wharton’s ceiling is that of an FBS prospect, some believe his floor is the PSAC, which of course isn’t something to scoff at. My ranking of Wharton speaks for itself, so we’ll focus more on what his new tape is showing.
Wharton is a better mover than his frame might suggest, I’ve seen him juke kids in space, of course, this isn’t to say that mobility and elusiveness are part of his game, it isn’t, yet Wharton can advantageously utilize his legs. Purposeful and called roll-outs, coupled with solid accuracy have Wharton executing flood concepts while leaving the pocket. Improvisational skills are there, he’s got awesome weapons at his disposal, so when plays break down, Wharton can link up with said weapons when things get muddy in the pocket. Wharton flashes the big arm, one that can target kids 40+ yards downfield without much of a hitch. I want to see Wharton show off the rocket arm even when the pocket isn’t clean. I want Wharton to stay consistent regarding accuracy and footwork when the pocket gets muddy. He’s still a work in progress in these areas, as most HS quarterbacks are. Consistency between plays has always been Wharton’s “issue”. Again, I bring this up because I believe the kid could play at the FBS level. If that’s the case, I won’t sugarcoat things. The giant toolbox that is Mekhi Wharton Mekhi Wharton 6’5″ | 215 lbs | QB Neumann-Goretti | 2024 State PA is slowly but surely becoming a bit more fine-tuned. I’d love for Wharton to get the ball out quicker, coaches at the next level love a decisive passer.
Highlights
Not much 2023 tape out of Jabril Nuriddin Jabril Nuriddin 6’1″ | 230 lbs | DL Neumann-Goretti | 2024 State PA , a young man who ranks inside the top 350 as a senior. Has some reps at IDL on tape, not enough for me to analyze. Same goes for his reps at left tackle. Obviously a bit undersized, but it says something about Nuriddin if the coaching staff trusts him enough to play such a prominent role. Currently unoffered, he can tell any coaches at lower levels that he has experience on both sides of the ball, it should bode well for his stock among coaches who like him on either side of the ball.
6’2, 290, 3.8 GPA. Currently holds an offer from a blooming program in Lock Haven University. A young man that I’ve been fond of for some time, 2+ years at that. Not a bad start after taking a peek at Robinson’s first three. Does a good job winning against inferior competition. Can align anywhere between each B-Gap. Is someone who can be called upon to hold their gap and absorb blocks and or double-teams, not being pushed back bodes in the run game bodes well. Can shoot and extend himself away from OL, thus hoping to catch incoming ball carriers through his gap, does this often and well. Again, good, almost great power in the place of athleticism. Doesn’t look like a fish out of water when attempting to close in on ball carriers in the open, though want to see more 2023 tape.
Highlights
Underrated linebacker who is nimble enough on his feet to cover and defend passing lanes downfield to an extent. Unoffered, first-three leaves a lot left to be desired. Best thing from what I’ve seen on tape this year is his ability to seek out plays that bounce outside of tackles towards his area of the field. Todd can track and hunt outside zone runs well, finishes open field 1v1s nicely, can and should be relied upon to do so.
Unoffered senior Saint. We can get the obvious out of the way, projecting Bromfield to the offensive line at the next level is tough considering his size. Hudl has him at 6’0, no weight to be seen. Bromfield has flirted with IDL, OT, LB. The kid is a valuable piece to the NG puzzle, yet it’s tough based on his minute-long tape to sell him to a college right now. There’s still time to churn out a promising senior season tape, so we might be getting ahead of ourselves.
If he pursues college football at the next level, having dabbled into many other different positions might bode well for his stock among college coaches.
Is a young man on our watch list due to a lack of tape. 2023 Hudl doesn’t add much to boost his stock. Under-sized, lacks tape, yet Brahim Jefferson is a name I am willing to stash until the end of his career.
Here’s to hoping that he has a prominent game moving forward or tape that can get him interest from important people at colleges.
Is a young man who evaded our rankings due to a lack of tape, both while at Cardinal O ‘Hara in previous years, as well as supplying just a 4-game junior season tape last year while playing the linebacker position at the Neumann-Goretti
Long limbs, looks like a basketball player. 4-minute tape on Hudl from last year shows promise, but there just is not enough there for me to rank or stamp him. From my knowledge, Bambara is a starter on this Neumann front seven.rnReal substantial tape that we can dissect, that college coaches can see, could have Bambara in good favor with potential suitors at the next level.

An unranked prospect, a lot to like from the outside looking in. Hudl tells me he can play nose guard. Obvious tackle capabilities, standing at 6 ‘5″, 340 pounds. This is the first time I’ve heard of this senior Saint.
Doesn’t have much to work with in terms of tape. Has just 40 seconds worth of clips against West Catholic High School. Has an extra 20 seconds of tape against Christiana. No Twitter to be found. Again, his size, his frame, certainly desirable, certainly something that catches my eye. Looks to serve as the left guard on the NG offense.
Yet there isn’t enough tape, there wasn’t enough that I saw live against Lansdale Catholic for me to be genuinely excited about, at least in terms of sending his name to college coaches recruiting Philly. That being said, 6’5, 340-pound lineman don’t grow on any trees that I know of. His size and role on the team are enough to leave me intrigue moving forward.

- unranked and unoffered
- unranked and unoffered senior prospect has dabbled into many other positions like teammates listed above. Saccoh can serve as the starting middle linebacker in the Neumann-Goretti front seven if called upon to do so. Saccoh presents a four-and-a-half-minute midseason highlight tape that primarily showcases his abilities as a center. His build might not scream scholarship, yet he impresses me as much, if not more, than some of the 6 -4 -6 -5 behemoths that line up adjacent to him on this offensive line.
- He is a bit undersized, yet college coaches will turn on the tape and see Saccoh potentially play middle linebacker, potentially fill in at full-back and lead block, all while having the brains to serve as a starting center on a state-championship-level program.
- His tape says a lot more. Plenty of leg drive off the snap. He’s a great shooter of the hands, steers, and plays to the whistle. Pancakes seen on tape. A ton of displacement from snap to whistle. A mean streak. Loves to finish plays. His undersized frame gets him a step ahead in terms of leverage against much bigger interior defensive linemen. Surprised me in pass protection sets. Hell of a run blocker who has drive capable of pushing a defensive lineman 10 to 15 yards downfield, yet his pass protection reps are just impressive. Good base. Great hands to lock out his arms consistently. Despite his recruiting status, this is the player I’m becoming fond of every time I plug on the tape
- future ranking potential.

- Unranked, unoffered.
- 6’3, 160 pounds
- 6 foot 3,long-limbed corner primarily playing outside the numbers. Build is a huge plus. It’s surprising that, to my knowledge, little buzz is surrounding this young man’s name. Considering he plays alongside Khari Reed and Kahmir Prescott Kahmir Prescott 6’1″ | 190 lbs | ATH Neumann-Goretti | 2024 State PA . He likes to play with cushion, likes to keep things in front of him, plays well when he can see the ball and quarterback in front of him.
- His first four highlight tape shows off his ability to read the quarterback’s eyes as a play is breaking down. Two picks on tape. He’s shown that he can run and stay with some prominent names in the PCL.
- He is quickly becoming one of my favorite new names out of the Philadelphia Catholic League. This is a name I will send to PSAC schools looking for seniors without much hype. Hooper had a phenomenal game when I was in attendance against Lansdale Catholic. Multiple pass breakups. Seemingly in the right place at the right time, more times than not. Fantastic hand-eye coordination to get a hand in front of wideouts and disrupt passing lanes.
- He put himself in good favor with me after this one. Excited to get his name mentioned a bit more moving forward.
