1.
Lockhart comes in as the #1 overall 2026 prospect in the state. Strong case to be made for him being the top 2026 DB in the country possessing a rare physical skillset in combination with ideal size, length, and growth potential. At 6’3” 170 lbs. he’s an elite level athlete with the speed and change of direction to match movement and stay in phase at all three levels. Great fluidity in hips to transition and break on the ball. Highly technical with his footwork and hand usage to gain positional leverage. Natural coverage instincts to anticipate and recognize routes putting himself in position to make a play on the ball. Holds 12 current offers from mostly western region programs but will be a national recruit before long.
12 Offers: BYU, Washington, Utah, San Diego State, Washington State, Nevada, Oregon, Miami, Penn State, USC, Arizona, San Jose State
2.
Smigiel comes in as PRZ’s top ranked 2026 QB and #2 prospect overall. He can go throw for throw with any of the top QB’s in the state regardless of class. Shows plus arm strength with a short accelerated release that allows him to get the ball out quick and on time. Great ability to anticipate and throw his receivers open, especially to the middle of the field. Mixes up velocities well with good touch and trajectory down field and good velocity at the short and intermediate levels. At 6’5” 205 lbs. he’s got deceptive athleticism and mobility both in the pocket and on the run. Love his ability to step up in the pocket and feel pressure to create a throwing lane. He’s one of the highest rated QB recruits in the country already holding 22 offers. Putting up big numbers as a sophomore throwing for 1,700 yards and 29 touchdowns in just five games.
22 Offers: Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, FAU, Florida State, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Oregon State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, SDSU, San Jose State, UNLV, Utah, Virginia Tech
3.
Benjamin made a big jump in the rankings to #3 overall. He’s an exceptional athlete with track speed running a PR 100m at 10.92 and 200m at 22.12 as a freshman. Checks all the boxes colleges look for in a lockdown corner in terms of physical abilities. Long speed makes him tough to beat over the top while his lateral agility and quickness in the short area allows him to close up any separation in a hurry at the short and intermediate levels. Out of his transition he’s explosive breaking on the ball using his reactionary quickness to recover and play the ball at the catch point. Plays with great pad level and leverage throughout the play. Strong one on one open field tackler that can bring heavy contact in run support and after the catch. Recruitment has been building all offseason and will skyrocket as he progresses through the recruiting cycle.
11 Offers: BYU, Kansas, Louisville, Oregon, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Miami, UNLV, Washington, USC, Washington State
4.
Utu moves up a couple spots to #4 overall and the top ranked offensive lineman in the state. At 6’5” 295 lbs. he’s an OT at the college level but has shown good positional versatility in his early high school career also rotating in at OG. A plus athlete, you don’t see many sophomores at his size move and bend as well as he does. Great initial quickness with an explosive first step out of his stance to establish positional leverage and drive opponents off the ball. Quick and active hands, he snaps them into position and possesses a powerful initial strike with great extension. Violent at the POA he plays with leverage and accelerates his feet on contact to finish opponents to the ground. Effective blocker in space that can move his feet to work to the second level and perimeter. Another guy who’s ranked near the top of his position nationally.
20 Offers: Arizona, ASU, BYU, Cal, Colorado, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, NAU, Notre Dame, Oregon State, Penn State, SMU, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, USC, Utah, Washington

Moala holds the #1 LB spot and #5 overall in the updated PRZ state rankings. At 6’4” 225 lbs. he’s already got the size and length elite level colleges look for in their ILB. He’s an active defender that plays downhill and fast. He’s got good speed and great range to work laterally and play sideline to sideline. High football IQ, he’s got great instincts and is patient with his reads when diagnosing run/pass but triggers quickly to react and locate the ball carrier. Takes good angles and limits wasted movement. Can slip blocks with his quickness to avoid contact or use his strength and hands to shed. Aggressive tackler that shows plus short area burst to close space and then explodes on contact wrapping up to the ground. Could transition to Edge with his length depending on development but is already a national recruit with offers from many of the top college programs in the country.
