This article was originally going to be about the entire OK-Green though there are simply too many potential standouts at Muskegon and Mona Shores. These two programs have been powerhouses of West Michigan for as long as I can remember, and I'm extremely fortunate to have gotten to know some players and coaches on both programs. This article will showcase a few players from both teams who I'm confident will have great 2023 seasons!

I hear that Muskegon has big plans for [player_tooltip player_id='740721' first='Stanley' last='Cunningham'] this season. Last season, I thought he did phenomenal as a defensive end, and he had some big plays against prominent players. This season, he's looking at making things happen as a TE, and the Muskegon coaching staff is quite excited about it. I saw him take some receiver snaps earlier this summer and thought he had room to improve athletically, though I absolutely see the potential as a TE.

Pittman at his best could be a top QB in the state. He's got amazing size and athletic ability that allows him to be a true dual-threat prospect, and he's got a big arm. His biggest issue for a while has been inconsistency, and he's quite streaky. Pittman can have a stretch of exceptional football, then go on a string of mistakes. As long as Pittman can stay consistent, he'll be a major problem for opposing teams.

DB | O'Mari Hall-Brown | Mona Shores | Hudl

O'Mari was the best DB that I saw at the Hope 7v7 tournament until he got injured. He was insanely sticky in man coverage and didn't make a single mistake while it was obvious some were still learning the defense. O'Mari demonstrated good press, and a few great reaction plays where he jumped the route while the ball was being thrown, resulting in a PBU or INT. I know a ton of colleges are looking for DBs, so here's a true breakout candidate!

Andrew is one of those guys that I just kept seeing this offseason. He's at this camp, that camp, this other 7v7, etc. Andrew is a true QB of the defense as he's seen diagnosing the play before the ball is snapped. He makes his calls, and executes his job the vast majority of the time. I also saw many great plays in pass coverage during camps and 7v7, which is a major weakpoint in a ton of linebackers. As a outside or mike linebacker, Andrew will be great and should get college attention from the D2 and D3 level.

T | [player_tooltip player_id='1264786' first='Recarter' last=''] Kitchen | Muskegon | (2027)

I may be jumping the gun quite a bit, but here's a quick preview of the next great lineman at Muskegon. [player_tooltip player_id='1264786' first='Recarter' last=''] is currently a 3-sport with Football, T&F (shotput), and wrestling. I only saw him briefly once this offseason, but he sure looks the part, and I've seen his urge to compete + aggressiveness. I'm not sure if he'll start on Varsity this season, but I 100% expect [player_tooltip player_id='1264786' first='Recarter' last=''] to develop into a Division 1 prospect like so many other Big Red O-Linemen before him.
