Sophomores on Varsity Having an Impact

Everything I have seen from him so far this season has been very impressive. He's an elite route runner that does a great job of winning separation at the top of his route and giving his QB easy throws. When he makes the catch, he can deal some real damage with his legs. Marshall possesses great agility and speed, making him a nightmare in the open field. On top of that, he's incredibly tough. He has taken some big shots and been able to hang on to the ball, and pop right back up. Whether he's getting it done on the ground out of the backfield, making catches downfield or causing mayhem in the defensive secondary, this dude plays hard and is all over the field. He's extremely agile and has blazing speed, with incredible ball skills and athleticism. Watching a couple of his games back, he makes it so hard to throw when he's playing defense. He covers ground in a hurry and attacks the football. Walker even excels coming up and getting physical in the run game. Every clip I have seen so far has been very impressive. Making throws into tight windows, showing great touch on the ball downfield and putting some zip on short throws over the middle and hitting out routes with good timing. I love the pure arm strength and the fact that he can sling it from any arm slot. Drake has taken over the offense with immense confidence, and it radiates among the entire team. Martin has legit breakaway speed and can make tacklers miss in the open field. On designed runs, he does a great job of being patient and waiting for the blocks to develop before exploiting the crease. On top of that, he already has a solid foundation as a passer, but that will come with more reps. With the weapons he has, he has been really efficient and hasn't had to force the ball much. Bowers is extremely disruptive, especially generating pass rush up the middle and collapsing the pocket in a hurry. In the run game, this kid has no issue anchoring down and minding his gap. It takes a heck of a double team to get him out of the play. Even so, he has the motor to chase plays down and make his presence felt. I am a big believer in his skill and believe his trajectory lands him at a P4 grade before the end of his career. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
