Willie has been absolutely electrifying so far this season. Whether he’s getting it done on the ground out of the backfield, making catches downfield or causing mayhem in the defensive secondary, this dude plays hard and is all over the field. He’s extremely agile and has blazing speed, with incredible ball skills and athleticism. Watching a couple of his games back, he makes it so hard to throw when he’s playing defense. He covers ground in a hurry and attacks the football. Walker even excels coming up and getting physical in the run game. Huge start to Walker’s career and will be a name to know going forward.

VISION:

Willie Is a complete back but the one thing that really stands out to me is his vision. Willie shows great feet on film but his ability to see things forming in front of him and make a good cut speaks volumes for this young MLK back. I was very surprised to see time and time again Willie make the right read which leads to big runs. There are things that you either have it or you don’t and patience and vision Are at the top of the list. Watch out for Willie to have a major impact on a very good MLK team this fall.

What an extremely interesting freshman tape from Walker. A number of his highlights show him playing center field in the defensive secondary and going sideline to sideline, making plays and earning interceptions and PBUs. Walker fights off blocks well and is typically able to make some really high level tackles. He’s quick and instinctual, typically reading the routes before they even develop. Offensively, he’s a tough runner that has no issue blowing through arm tackles and fighting for extra yardage. He has good visiion and instincts and knows how to find the open field. This is a 2-way star that has the opportunity to be a standout on either side of the ball.

Willie Walker Willie Walker 5'7" | 150 lbs | RB/DB Detroit MLK | 2029 State MI brings infectious intensity to the backfield. He runs with a chip on his shoulder that is reflected by his yards after contact. His balance is insane, his speed is legit, and he has an eye for the end zone. By the effort Willie exudes, you can tell he loves the game and plays it at a high level. Most notable is being a major part of winning the 13U D2 AYF National Championship.
