Sometimes it’s like pick your poison with them. In week 1 Hunter (pictured above) had a big game hauling in 9 receptions for 212 yards and 2 touchdowns. He has the speed to get separation deep and tracks the deep ball well. When plays get extended he a great job of extending routes and keeping himself open for his QB. He’s also a threat in the underneath passing game where the Warriors use his explosiveness and athleticism on bubble screens. Teaunn does a good job of disguising his routes. He uses good timing and jumping ability to win 50-50 balls. Hunter is a competitor who expects to make every play that comes his way. He has an offer from Purdue and with a strong G5 interest. With a strong junior year the P5 interest should continue to gain momentum.
LB Trey Verdon Trey Verdon 6'1" | 215 lbs | DL Hamilton | 2025 State OH (Hamilton) 6’1 215- Verdon lines up both with his hand in the dirt as well as a standup linebacker. He has a diverse skill set that he uses to be make plays. With his hand in the dirt he’s really twitchy in his get-off and can get into the backfield in a hurry. He’s really strong for his size allowing him to standup bigger offensive linemen. I project him as an outside linebacker at the college level. He mirrors well and is a sure handed open field tackler. He will have the necessary speed and plus power at his disposal to win the edge. He does a good job of keeping his shoulders parallel to the line of scrimmage and remaining gap responsible. Verdon currently has a Pitt offer and a lot of other P5 interest. I expect more schools to begin to offer as Verdon’s junior film continues to roll in.
WR Shaun Terry Shaun Terry 5'11" | 175 lbs | ATH Ironton | 2025 State OH (Ironton) 5’11 170- Terry is a superb athlete who can affect the game in many different ways. On offense he lines up at both receiver and in the backfield in the pistol formation. He’s an elusive player who refuses to go down when he has the ball in his hands. The same goes for punt return where his seems to make plays out of nothing. On defense he plays cornerback. His athleticism plays there as well as he has a smooth back pedal. He transitions easy in his turn to run. He can also go up and get it. Terry is getting D1 interest from group of 5 schools.
DE Gordy Sulfsted Gordy Sulfsted 6'5" | 235 lbs | DL Saint X | 2025 State OH (St. Xavier) 6’5 240- At 6’5 240Sulfsted fits the physical profile for a D1 P5 Defensive End. He can win with athleticism or power. He has a bull rush that can walk blockers into the backfield and cause trouble. He also has the quickness and athleticism to shoot the gap and get quick penetration. He also has the quickness and bend to dip his shoulder come across his man and shoot the inside gap. Gordy has already racked up 3 sacks and 2 tackles for losses on the season. Because of his strength and ability to set the edge I like him as a strongside defensive end at the college level. Sulfsted is another 2025 with a Pitt offer. After 2 games, if he has the junior season, I expect him to have I expect him to start to stack P5 offers.
ATH Julius Spradlin Julius Spradlin 5'9" | 150 lbs | ATH Sidney | 2025 State OH (Sidney) 5’9 170- Spradling is a do it all player for the Yellow Jackets. He rarely comes off the field. He plays offense, defense, punt return, kick return. He explosive in small spaces and has the ability to make guys miss. On defense he plays free safety. He covers a ton of ground. While he may not be the biggest on the field, he plays big. He takes good angles to the ball. He’s a very good open field tackler who’s not afraid to lower the boom when he gets the chance. He’s leading his conference in both receiving yards (170) and tackles (27). Despite missing half of game 2, due to a questionable targeting call.
