Anderson has good size at 5-foot-11 and 155-pounds. Not an overly big wide reciever by any means but still has plenty of weight he can add to his frame. From an athleticism standpoint, its quality, a reported forty-yard dash in the 4.7s – 4.8s. He’s not going to be a blazer on the field but can be a strong possession wide receiver at the next level.
Gets a nice release off the snap and uses good route running skills to make up for any athlieticsm disparity he may have against opposing cornerbacks. He avoids getting jamed rather well and makes strong and rather precise cuts on his routes and is able to create seperation and leverage with his route running.
Shows the ability to be aware of where is on the field while adusting to the ball and its’ flight path. Shows decent body control as well. Does not panic when cornered by multiple defenders, shows the ability to be elusive with some quality agility as well. Can be slippery at times. From a physicality standpoint, Anderson despite being smaller does a good job of breaking tackels, doesn’t shy away from contact.
Anderson is a reliable wide reciever, he doesn’t drop many balls and shows consistently strong hands. Despite not having game changing speed he does quite a good job of picking up yards after the catch as well thanks to his skill traits mentioend above
Overall, Anderson as mentioend above probably bests projects to a possession wide receiver at the next level. He is not overly big nor is overly fast but he is a fundamentally sound wide receiver who could carve himself out a nice role in an offense at the next level. Had great production last year with 43 receptions for 1,134 yards and 16 touchdowns in 11 games.
Wiseman from a physical standpoint is a nice sized prospect at 6-foot-2 and 200-pounds to pair along with a reported 40-yard dash of 4.6. That’s a nice combination overall for the Sissonville prospect.
Wiseman has a nice burst off the line and avoids getting jammed quite well. Shows good route running abilities creating additional seperation. Has a good release out of his breaks as well.
Does a great job of mainting body control and field awarness when the ball is thrown his way. He consitently knows where the sideline is, where he is in accordance to the sideline or defenders and has a good catch radius on 50-50 balls that gives his quarterback a chance of completing a majority of passes thrown his way. Doesn’t seem to mind putting himself in vunerable positions at times to make catches, shows strong hands and can hold onto the ball while withstanidng contact as well.
Good abilities after he makes the catch, once again being able to sustain smoe physicality. A bit elusive as well with good agility and ability to change directions quickly.
Overall, Wiseman is a really intriguing prospect with his size and quality speed. Good fundamentals combined with his that combination make for a big play wide receiver in which he shows routinely for Sissonsville. Has definite Division II though could have even higher potential.
Collins has a similar build to that of Maddox Anderson Maddox Anderson 5’11” | 155 lbs | WR Tucker County | 2024 State WV above at 5-foot-10 and 160-pounds. Its hard to say where his 40 time actually sits but its’ none the less, he’s got great speed. His HUDL tape says 4.53 but at a West Virginia camp he was clocked at an astonishing 4.25. All liklihood, he’s likely somewhere in between 4.4 and 4.3 on a consistent basis which you’ll of course take every day of the week if you’re a wide receivers coach. No matter what his 40 speed is we’re talking about truly elite speed.
A fun athlete to watch, Collins really stands out on tape thanks to his explosion and athleticism. He’s a little bit of a do it all type player for Princeton but he burts off the line of scrimmage and if the opposing cornerback does not jam him, their in an immediate disadvantage. The best athlete on the field throughout his highlight tape.
Quality route runner who shows good agility and is able to make quick cuts on his routes that do not take away anything from his momentum. Good body control and awareness of his placement on the field and can hold his own in tight spaces thanks to his athleticism and agility. Very elsuive ball carrier. Not afraid to be hit and shows the ability to run through some defenders as well.
Looks to have good strong hands that allows him to make a variety of catches of different difficulties. As we mentioend above, he’s a very elusive ballcarrier allowing him to rack up a ton of yards after the catch as well.
Collins has the upside of being an FBS talent. The offers are not there just yet for him but I would be shocked if they don’t eventually start coming in for Collins, even if they are as preferred walk-on offers, the talent level is there. Just an exciting player to watch and will be in consideratiom for the state’s top wide receiver in the class when we do our reranks here at Prep Redzone West Virginia shortly. Very productive last year for Princeton with 1,600+ all purpose yards this past season to go along with 23 total touchdowns. Was also a quality defensive back for Princeton with 42 tackles and four interceptions. Good position versatility and could develop into a nice cornerback as well.
Lastly for today we have Tristan Walker, the tallest wide receiver of the bunch today. Walker has elite size at 6-foot-5 and around 200-pounds. With his height, one could argue that he’s better suited to be a tight end at the next level but he should be able to stay at wide receiver as well. It would be coaching staff preference at that point.
Walker has a nice burst and twitch off the line of scrimmage with quality route running skill set. His speed and route running allows him to garner quality leverage on opposing defenders as well. Makes good adjustments to the ball when its thrown his way and has a good understanding of how to control his body and his awareness of where he is on the field.
Strong hands and loves to be physical with a few blocking highlights on his tape as well. His athleticism allows him to pick up valuable yards after the catch and is tough to bring down thanks to his size. Shows a good foundation as a blocker and should be able to continue to devleop in that aspect.
Overall, as stated above, Walker might be better suit to be a tight end at the next level depending on the offense. He has great size and his athleticism should translate well to the next level – would present a nice pair of hands in the middle of the field. Great redzone target as well. Had 37 receptions for 548 receiving yards on the season. Also had eight interceptions and 37 tackles on the defensive side of the ball last year.
