The First Team All-Conference quarterback from St. Charles North impressed early and often in his sophomore season. Plumb led the North Stars to a 10-2 record, including 10 straight wins and a trip to the third round of the playoffs. Plumb stands at 6’3 and weighs 205 lbs. He has a massive frame and a big arm that allows him to push the ball down the field. Plumb shows great touch on balls over the middle and has the ability to throw with accuracy on the run. He also displays tremendous toughness, as Plumb will step in the pocket with pressure in his face and deliver an accurate ball while taking a hit. Heading into his junior year, keep an eye out for Plumb and the St. Charles North team.

The 6’0, 180 lbs signal caller from Morgan Park showed off a variety of skills in his sophomore season that make him one of the top QBs in the state. Thaxton has a quick release that allows him to throw the ball with accuracy and velocity. He can recognize coverage and fit the ball into tight windows. Additionally, Thaxton has phenomenal touch on deep balls and goal line fades. He understands leverage well and can place the ball with ease in a variety of spots so that his receivers are the only ones who can make the catch. Thaxton also shows mobility in the pocket and accuracy on the run. Whether its a level 1 ball, a back shoulder throw, or a home run deep ball, Thaxton can do it all. Expect even more in his junior season.

Bell stands at 6’3 and weighs 193 lbs. As a sophomore, Bell accounted for 19 touchdowns for the Naperville North Huskies. He impresses with his middle of the field accuracy and strong arm that can fit the ball into tight windows. Bell diagnoses coverage with ease, as he often appears to make the correct read and take the yards that the defense gives him. Additionally, Bell displays strong accuracy on the run or with defenders in his face. He’s not afraid to take a hit and will stand tall in the pocket to deliver a strike. Heading into his junior year, Bell’s stock is on the rise.

The 2025 Quincy quarterback lit up the stat sheet in his sophomore season. Little went off for 24 touchdowns and over 2,700 yards, earning him an Honorable Mention All-State nod. Little has incredible deep ball accuracy. He can out-throw safeties while allowing his receivers to run underneath the ball. Little also displays tremendous touch on red zone throws. He stands in the pocket with poise and has the touch and accuracy to make almost every throw on the field. Keep an eye out for Little in his junior season as his stock his soaring.

The All-Conference Hersey stand out impressed for the Huskies in his sophomore season. Gumino stands at 6’2 and weighs 185 lbs. He has a powerful arm and strong accuracy that puts his receivers in a solid position to make a catch. Gumino has a great pocket presence. He scans the field with patience while finding his target. When he sees an open receiver, Gumino releases the ball with zip and can fit throws into tight windows. He also displays plus athleticism. Gumino doesn’t always look to run, but when he does, he shows impressive speed and shiftiness. Gumino is poised for a breakout junior season.

The Johnsburg signal caller was one of the most explosive quarterbacks in the state as a sophomore. Bravieri accounted for 28 touchdowns and over 2,500 yards. He stands at 6’3, weighs 190 lbs, and runs a 4.6 40. Bravieri has a smooth release that allows him to throw level 2 and level 3 balls with touch and accuracy. On level 1 throws, Bravieri utilizes a quick release that sends the ball out with strong velocity. He can make a lot of different throws and has the arm strength to stretch the ball vertically down the field. Heading into this season, Bravieri stock is on the rise, and he will be flying up recruiting boards as his junior year progresses.
