Allen Nesmith
Allen Nesmith
The natural talent that Allen Nesmith has when running with the football was extraordinary to watch on film. Nesmith is one talented football player for McQuaid Jesuit High School and will be exciting to see play this fall. In addition to the RB position, Nesmith also plays at the OLB spot.
The vision pre- and post-snap was a major standout for Nesmith at the RB spot. Being able to find the running lane to burst through for a large gain was outstanding to see at a consistent level. There was an incredible amount of balance and speed to take any carry to the house for six. The ability to embrace physically was on full display when defenders came to hit Allen. One of Nesmith’s best tools was delivering a quick and powerful stuff arm that would grant him more yards after contact. When it comes to the RB position, Allen spoke about how he was able to produce 1,016 rushing yards and is looking forward to increasing that number this season.
At the OLB position, Nesmith showcased his versatility in being able to cover WRs and TEs coming out of the slot. Having a LB that can cover at a high level was a stand-out for this McQuaid defense. For the upcoming season, Nesmith wants to win states, have a 2nd sectional win, and be on 1st team AGR.

Jon Distasio
Jon Distasio
A smart and dedicated player here with Jon Distasio from NorthStar Christian Academy who now will be playing at Spencerport High School. Ditsasio is not only hardworking on the field, but off it as well posting a cumulative GPA of 3.7 and a SAT score of 1210. Jon is a super athletic QB that is able to break down defenses with his legs but can also deliver surprising strikes in the passing game. Coming into this season where Jon will be a senior, he wants to win sectionals. Distasio spoke about how team success is more important to him than individual success. Being able to break away and run the read option with tremendous success was displayed throughout Jon’s tape. The natural running speed and agility to fake out tacklers was impressive to see. Defenders were caught and drawn to so many fakes produced by the offense led by Jon. In one play, Distasio was able to draw in so many defenders on a play action, it opened up the back end for a huge passing gain. This is not a QB that will only rely on his legs to make big plays happen. Distasio has a strong arm to make big time throws to set his team up for success. It will be a fun season to watch #1 make magic on the football field for his new team at Spencerport. Winning offensive player of the year and getting noticed by more collegiate programs to earn a scholarship would be the world to Distasio. Nahum Perry-Huggins
Nahum Perry-Huggins
A great story here with this 260-pound defensive linemen named Nahum Perry-Huggins. Last year, Nahum played at Norwood High School located in Massachusetts and now will be playing football at Monroe High School this fall. Perry-Huggins is a huge addition to Monroe High School’s football team and will impact games early this fall. Perry-Huggins was used all over the defensive line and even spent some time at the offensive guard position.
The freakish athleticism was a major stand out when turning on Nahum film on the defensive line. This is a defender that can rush from either the interior or the outside of the line. Plenty of times, Nahum was rushing from the 2, 3, 4, or 5 techniques. The get off, once the ball is snap was blazing quick for Perry-Huggins. The opposing linemen were caught off-guard and off-balance numerous of times because of the quickness that Nahum can release rushing the passer. The ability to lean and use his natural strength at the point of attack granted Perry-Huggins the ability to shed off of blocks at a high success rate.
What was even more impressive to see, was how Nahum plays against the run. So many times, Nahum was able to beat his block, and get behind the line of scrimmage to produce a TFL. This is a fun football player to watch and the goals for this season are clear. The first is to win defensive player of the year, and the second is to win a championship. Lots of motor, speed, and talent here with Perry-Huggins.

Ayden Matthews
Ayden Matthews
Ayden Matthews is a 6′, 145-pound WR for Brockport High School that is looking to improve his game next season. Matthews is a dual sport athlete that will also be graduating in 2026. This past season, Ayden was on the JV level, but he is looking to work his way up this season. If Matthews keeps making impressive plays like he did in some highlighted clips on his twitter, then he will be on varsity very soon. Matthews is not afraid to go up and get the football. There were two plays where Ayden was able to win a jump ball situation to move the chains. Being able to fight the DB for football is a trait that you like to see from WRs that will battle for those 50/50 jump balls. For the upcoming season, Ayden has two clear goals. The first is Matthews wants to improve his skills all around at the WR position. That means improving his route running, his catching, and his speed after the catch. The last goal is Ayden wants to go help his team win with having success on and off the football field. A very upcoming young football player here for Brockport High School. DaeSean West DaeSean West DB Cortland | 2024 State NY
A very patient, but aggressive defensive football player here with DaeSean West DaeSean West DB Cortland | 2024 State NY from Cortland High School. On the defensive side of the football, West is a CB and can also play OLB. DaeSean was able to make some gritty plays against both the run and the pass. When it comes to the upcoming year, DaeSean wants to be outstanding academically and when it comes to the game of football, he wants to win as many games as possible.
Being able to attack, and swarm after the ball carrier with full intensity was displayed with West. To attack upon a ball carrier, DaSean would get low and was even able to fight through stiff arms that were thrown at him. Being physical is a strong trait within the game for West. In coverage, West stays balance in his drops and does an outstanding job of not getting tricked by double moves thrown at him by wide outs. There were a few examples where West was able to make a clean jump on routes to force a turnover for his defense. The flexibility to play at the outside boundary CB or slot CB is a huge plus in DaeSean’s game as well.
The passion, speed, and motor to win is displayed throughout this young man’s tape. This is a defensive player that you will enjoy to watch because he seems to always be in the right place, at the right time to make a play on the football field.

Being able to get noticed more by college programs is a mark that Sherman Jr. is aiming for. The speed and staying balanced at the point of attack was key for Sherman Jr. at the RB position. Having the want to shake a defender and being able to adjust when breaking through a hole granted Chauncey the ability to break through for extra yardage. Having that nonstop effort and will is only going to give this young back more opportunities. Turning to the defensive side of the ball, Chauncey is an OLB and can play some SS. When playing at the OLB spot, Chauncey reflects a strong motor and will to attack. Finishing the play and securing the tackle was a strong point of emphasis when watching this young man work.
