Offseason Report: NYCHSFL Prospects Part 1

The friars graduated Dante Torres, but they have multiple talented QB's including last year's backup [player_tooltip player_id='606253' first='Brady' last='Nash']. And this summer Nash has made a name for himself. He made so many amazing throws with his 7v7 team (Live 7v7). He is a precise passer who's displayed his accuracy at a high level this summer. Now this fall if he is named the starting quarterback, he could be in for a big year. He is one of the most athletic players in the state and he's been doing a great job this offseason. At the elite Rutgers 7v7 tournament, Spellman made sure everybody knew what he was capable of. He had some impressive contested catches where he showed he can be effective in a jump ball spot. Spellman also showed how dangerous he is in the open field. Even in just a 7v7, Spellman made people miss and exploded for a ton of yards after the catch. He is an intriguing prospect with the pure strength he possesses. He looked great at the Downstate classic when I saw him in person and he's been terrific at several camps. Rinaldi has good hand placement and he brings pure aggression to every single snap. When Jack Tully runs wild for Chaminade this year, the big man Rinaldi will be a huge reason why when he's paving holes consistently. The Firebirds added a huge piece to their secondary within [player_tooltip player_id='806593' first='Christian' last='DaCosta']. The 2025 defensive back did an amazing job for Baldwin in the playoffs last year. He made a couple of incredible plays in the semi final game including multiple big hits and a huge interception. He's a fearless player who can make open field tackles and also get high enough to break up passes against taller receivers. Menghi was always one of the top prospects in the state for the 2024 class and now the Stony Brook commit will look to put together a special senior season. Menghi is a do it all guy and he is one of the leaders for this St Anthony's team. He'll get more targets as a receiver this year as he's shown to be a matchup nightmare during the camps he attends this summer. Menghi will also continue to be one of the best blocking tight ends in the tri state area, watch out for him this fall. Lisbon has been incredible on the 7v7 circuit this summer with his squad (Live 7v7). At 6 foot 4 he has been an issue for so many cornerbacks this summer. Lisbon has made some highlight reel plays and some catches that would get the entire event to rise in excitement. He has the ability to be one of the top red zone threats in all of New York this season. He has been solid in 1v1 coverage and Galloway has some great speed to him. His upcoming junior year, he will make a big impact in that Gales secondary.
