Continue ReadingAs we continue to build here at PrepRedzone West Virginia, we will have to begin taking a look at 2026 prospects within the state. We currently do not have any rankings for 2026 but are certainly beginning to build our watchlist for the rankings hopefully dropping in the upcoming months before the beginning of the season.
With that, we’ll be highlighting 2026 prospects from the state over the next several weeks and months. Let’s dive right in.
If anyone knows more about any of these prospects, has contact information (such as social media), or has more tape on them please let me know as I’d love to learn more about each prospect.
Notably, these are all very early scouting reports on each player. We hope to have deeper scouting reports in the future on each.

An impressive rising sophomore on the offensive line, Parks has all the makings of a future Power Five offensive tackle and the offers are already coming in as well. He will have an argument as the top overall player in the state of West Virginia in the class of 2026.
He has the elite size at 6-foot-5 and 280-pounds. He’s got a quick first step off the line of scrimmage and is quick to the point of attack. His footwork is very good for a rising sophomore as well. He shows the tenacity you love to see in an offensive lineman, finishing his blocks all the way to the whistle.
Parks is well on his way to becoming one of the top offensive lineman in America.
Another Hurricane prospect, Dues made an impact for Hurricane on both sides of the ball as a freshman.
A fantastic athlete, Dues shows the ability early on to be a potential at either cornerback or wide receiver.
Dues might only be 5-foot-9 right now but he plays much bigger than his frame thanks to great athleticism. He shows strong straight-line speed with a 4.5 forty-yard dash and appears to has a nice vertical to go along with it. Shows great explosion throughout his highlight tape and is also quite shifty.
Should be a top five player if not higher in our 2026 rankings once they’re released.
Ramsey already sits at 6-foot-3 and 250-pounds, you could only imagine where he’s going to be from a size perspective over the next few years.
Shows good athleticism and strength at his size with plenty of room to grow in those regards. Has a chance to be one of the better offensive lineman in the entire state this year based of what we see in his freshman tape.
Back to Hurricane, this time for 6-foot-1, 185-pound wide receiver Landon Taylor Landon Taylor 6’0″ | 210 lbs | RB Hurricane | 2026 State WV .
Taylor is a wide receiver that really stands out on tape thanks to his hand-eye coordination and catch radius. If the ball is thrown his way, he shows the ability to make a wide range of catches of various difficulty. Not the most athletic wide receiver (4.8 forty-yard dash) but that athleticism could surely improve over time and isn’t of concern. Hard nosed runner who is tough to bring down which makes up for the lack of top-end speed.
Showed a lot of promise as a freshman. Excited to see how he takes the next step this fall.
Saw rotational time on a state championship squad for Huntington which is impressive as a freshman.
Legitimate 6-foot-3, 300+ pound size as a rising sophomore stands out. His athleticism for that size is also notable with a reported 40-yard dash of 5.35.. He’ll need to manage that weight and size over the next several years but as long as he does that it shouldn’t be a hinderance for him either.
Has a good motor and has the upper body strength that you would expect from a player of his size. (350 squat, 455 deadlift).
Very impressed by what I’ve seen so far and is in the early running for being our top 2026 defensive lineman.
