Team Full Gorilla Black is entering day two's single elimination round as the two-seed behind a powerful Arizona Turf team. The Gorillas put on a spectacle with their potent offense and dominant defense, garnering attention from onlookers with each spectacular play. Mountain Vista's [player_tooltip player_id='232153' first='Austyn' last='Modrzewski'] (2025 QB) was operating at peak performance yesterday, dropping dimes on deep balls while ensuring his ball placement was in spots only reachable to his receivers. Charlie Ekchardt (2024 WR) from Arapahaoe, [player_tooltip player_id='259298' first='Jordan' last='Herron'] (2024 RB/ATH) from Cherry Creek, and [player_tooltip player_id='230322' first='Jordan' last='Rechel'] (2025 WR/ATH) were big-time targets for Modrzewski who are expected to have repeat performances today.

With a quarterback rotation featuring [player_tooltip player_id='806112' first='Kurt' last='Rossner'] (2024) from Heritage and [player_tooltip player_id='232155' first='Alex' last='Birch'] (2025) from Horizon throwing to Columbine's [player_tooltip player_id='276505' first='Spencer' last='Houle'] (2024 WR) and Horizon's [player_tooltip player_id='388114' first='Lucas' last='Wilt'] (2024 WR), it should come as no surprise that the 18U squad is heading into the second day sitting in the third seed.
