First things first, there is no doubt that

passes the eye test at the quarterback position. At 6’5″, the Heritage product is considered prototypical height for a field general and that’s not even considering his rocket for a right arm. In a narrow loss to Mountain Vista in Week 1, Rossner did all he could completing 62% of his passes while firing five touchdown passes. Not to mention, but this kid has impeccable footwork and is athletic enough to throw humming darts on the run. Indeed, Rossner should be on everyone’s radar by this fall’s conclusion.

was the top quarterback at Foothills Arena. When standing next to Rossner, you begin to realize how impressive his height is with his 6’4″ frame. Even more spectacular is his delivery with the football. All day long, Rossner showed off his cannon for an arm while also displaying phenomenal timing with his receivers in the positional drills. Clearly, the Heritage field general could be in store for a stellar fall season!
Nice anticipation on this hitch route between Heritage QB @KurtRossner2 and Summit WR @JacksonArchamb3 in this QB-WR drill🚀🎯@PrepRedzoneCO @Heritagefootbal #PRZProspectTourCO pic.twitter.com/HNw6da3AKh

The MVP of the quarterbacks was perhaps the second-most obvious selection of the position groups behind the running backs for many reasons, but Rossner was the shot-caller who impressed me the most. Yesterday’s event was my first time seeing Rossner in action, but it will not be the last. The Dax Shepard doppelgänger ganger continued to make passes where I found myself saying, “good ball” consistently, making me want to watch him a little closer. He stands tall in the pocket, an easy task for a 6-foot-4 quarterback, and his crisp release is complemented by his ability to anticipate the break of his receiver. Rossner’s timing and ball placement enables his receiver to make the catch away from the defender and out of dangerous spots, a rarity among high school quarterbacks who have spent significant time in run-heavy programs. He does a great job at staying light on his feet, allowing him to maneuver within the pocket while keeping his eyes downfield. His ability to throw off-platform without sacrificing his ball velocity and accuracy with his size is captivating, to say the least. Now that Rossner is in a situation that will allow him to showcase his passing talents following an absent junior campaign due to transferring, I fully expect his stock value as a prospect to skyrocket during a potential breakout season this fall.

Rossner was in the running for QB MVP for myself and he looked like he was going to sneak away with it at the end. He is a QB that has a cannon and the ball jumps out of his hand. That is the first thing you notice when you watch him, getting the ball to receivers quickly. He looked good in drill work, having nice feet and being smooth with all of the drills. When they started working with receivers he had some nice outside throws and was giving the receivers a chance to catch the ball. Was making some good reads and had fast decision making.
