The 5’10 215-pound power back has very good athletic ability due to elite balance, very good acceleration, speed, and good change of direction. He’s a bruising downhill back. Thenell used his very good vision to find routes through the defense. If a route isn’t open, he makes it open. Very good strength and trucking. He consistently gets yards after contact, and it takes multiple defenders to take him down. Very good inside running. He picks the hole, slides, and accelerates. If it’s not open, he uses his dynamic jump cuts to pivot into the open hole. Thenell is good in pass protection as well. This senior is a legit running back prospect and propelled Heritage into the next round.

He has very good vision and utilizes that to weave through the defense. If he can’t juke them out, he’ll run through the defender. He has very good jump cuts, and if one hole is covered, he’ll rush into the next. Thenell has very good strength and trucking. Very good inside running and good outside running. He consistently gets yards after contact, and sheds tackles like they are nothing. Thenell is a dog, and will continue to dominate in the playoffs.

Thenell has been the definition of versatility for Golden this season. With 1,111 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground, he’s proven to be a workhorse capable of shouldering the offensive load. His impact doesn’t stop there, Thenell has added 21 receptions for 313 yards and two more scores through the air, including an explosive 95 yard touchdown. His combination of speed, agility and hands out of the backfield makes him one of the toughest players to match up against. Thenell’s ability to flip a game and be an explosive play waiting to happen has made him a name to know for college scouts. Expect him to be a centerpiece as his team looks to finish strong and make noise in the postseason.

Mo is a power back that looks like a bowling ball running through defenders. Thenell has very good athletic ability due to elite balance, very good acceleration, speed, and good change of direction. Thenell has very good jump cuts, and makes defenders miss all the time with them, especially at the line of scrimmage. Explosive start. Very good vision to weave his way through holes, and power through line backers. Very good strength, trucking, and stiff arm. Consistently gains yards after contact. Thenell is a very good outside runner, getting to the perimeter and shedding tackles like it’s nothing. Kid’s a dawg.

His ability to make defenders miss in the open field combined with breakaway speed allowed him to consistently flip field position. Thenell’s versatility as both a runner and receiver makes him a dynamic weapon who can line up anywhere on the field.
