The Prep Redzone Rising Prospect Tour came through Oklahoma on Sunday and top talent from the state and even some of the surrounding states came out and showed out throughout the three hours in Broken Arrow. It started with combine testing and then went into individual drills, followed by 1 on 1 competitions to wrap up the camp. And throughout the week, we’re putting a spotlight on some of the top performers at each position from Sunday’s camp. In case you missed it, we broke down the seven players that were the positional MVP winners and you can read that RIGHT HERE. In this post, we’re putting a spotlight on five prospects that shined on the offensive side of the ball.
Edmond 2027 standout Colton McComb Colton McComb 6’2″ | 195 lbs | ATH Edmond Memorial | 2027 State OK stood out on both sides of the ball as a wide receiver and then working with the defensive linemen as well. But he earns his way onto this breakdown specifically for his work on offense during the drills and 1 on 1 competitions. McComb was one of the better pass catchers in attendance. He first stood out to us on Sunday during the testing portion of the camp. McComb tested incredibly well at all four stations. Whether it was the 40-yard dash or showcasing his agility and explosiveness, McComb did a good job at every single testing station. McComb was already on our radar coming into this weekend as the younger brother of Edmond Memorial 2025 quarterback David McComb David McComb 6’3″ | 215 lbs | QB Edmond Memorial | 2025 State OK , who is one of the top overall prospects in the state’s 2025 class. We also watched the younger McComb a little bit last year during the 7v7 season. He looks like he’s grown quite a bit over the last 12 months and when you look at older brother David, he could end up growing more as he enters high school this fall.

For me personally, this was the first camp that I’ve covered at the middle school level. And one thing that I really liked was the amount of detail that went into the coaching and the drills. It’s still so early in the development of these football players that there is an importance put on having them play on both sides of the ball. For Broken Arrow 2027 standout Dasean Jordan, he first stood out to me during the defensive portion of the drills. While Jordan was working with the defensive backs, he showcased great fluidity in his hips going through the various drills. Jordan can move around quite well and then put his overall speed and hands on display as the camp flipped to the offensive side of the ball. Jordan really impressed during that part of the camp as he found ways to get open and did a good job of looking the ball in as he made catch after catch. Jordan looked the part on Sunday and we won’t be surprised if he finds a way to make an impact in the first two years of his varsity career at Broken Arrow. Which is saying something considering it’s the largest school in the state.
The state of Arkansas produced a few of the top standouts from our Broken Arrow camp and Warren 2027 quarterback Jackson Denton Jackson Denton 5’10” | 160 lbs | QB Warren | 2027 State AR was one of them. The first of two quarterbacks on this breakdown, Denton was right there in the mix to take home the MVP award for the quarterback position. Denton immediately stood out to me when the quarterbacks were just warming up before getting into swing of the drills and then 1 on 1 competition. While warming up, Denton take long as he was firing darts right from the start. Out of all the quarterbacks in attendance, Denton might have thrown the strongest ball of the group because the ball was leaping off his hand and getting to its intended target in a hurry. It’s hard not to be impressed with Denton considering the arm strength he already has. Denton has had a very busy offseason and is already on the radar when you talk about 2027 quarterbacks in this region. Don’t be surprised if Denton gets on the field early on in his varsity career and becomes a special quarterback prospect moving forward.

In our MVP breakdown, we had not one, but two prospects from Washington that took home MVP honors. And 2028 running back Josiah Dickerson Josiah Dickerson 5’6″ | 155 lbs | RB OK was right there in the mix to make it three MVPs for future Washington Warriors. Dickerson got on our radar earlier this year when he stood out at the Prep Redzone Next camp down in Texas. And he came to Broken Arrow this weekend and picked up right where he left off. He already has good speed, moves well and you can tell that he has the potential to be a very powerful back in the future as he adds a few inches. Most of the standouts this weekend were 2027 prospects that are getting ready to enter high school this fall. Dickerson was the rare 2028 standout that still has another year of junior high ball before moving on to the high school level. Needless to say, defending Class 2A champion Washington is just going to continue to reload as we start looking ahead to the next few years. Dickerson tested really well and did a good job during the drills and competitions. He left a few linebackers in the dust while making a catch out of the backfield.

Mustang 2027 quarterback Tyson Pogi Tyson Pogi 5’10” | 145 lbs | QB Mustang | 2027 State OK has a few things in common with McComb. Both were names that I knew about heading into this weekend because of 7v7 and both are the next up from families with plenty of success in athletics. I first watched Pogi in person a few months ago at our 7v7 tournament in Broken Arrow. He spun it incredibly well that weekend and he shined bright again this weekend. In a setting where he’s competing with other quarterbacks to stand out in drills and 1 on 1 competitions, Pogi impressed time and time again. Similar to Denton, Pogi was right in the mix for the MVP award at the quarterback position with Washington’s Creed Barrett Creed Barrett 5’10” | 150 lbs | QB Washington | 2028 OK . Pogi really impressed me when the quarterbacks started moving around a little bit and he could take advantage of his athleticism and throw on the run. And like we mentioned with Dickerson above, one of the themes of Sunday’s camp was that the future was incredibly bright for a few OKC-area programs. Mustang also had quite a few guys in that 2027 class that performed incredibly well.
