Continue ReadingThe Bishop McDevitt defensive lineman has great size and is one of the more physically impressive defensive lineman in the 2024 recruiting class. He’s got great upper body strength and has a good first step allows him to get into opponents backfield quickly. Good hand fighting skills as well. Already a good prospect with the chance to get even better. Could be a bit of a question of where he ends up at the next level whether it’s inside or outside but overall there’s a lot to like about Slogik.
Nice size defensive lineman who projected as a defensive tackle most likely at the next level. Somebody who has only received FCS interest it appears so far but firmly believe could be a Group of Five prospect as well. Solid first step with a nice burst, hand fighting skills are of quality and has a high motor. Has shown nice production for Penn Hills as well.
Flint is someone who is already beginning to see his recruitment take off with several Power Five offers but there should be plenty of more to come. This is mostly for those Group of Five and Power Five schools out there. Get this kid on campus this offseason, see how well he tests and you’re going to come away impressed with him.
McMillan plays outside linebacker for Woodland Hills but at 6-foot-5 and 195-pounds, he’s destined for the edge at the next level. He has a reported 40-yard dash time as well of 4.51, which if accurate makes him an even more intriguing prospect. Quality first step, shows the ability to beat opposing lineman both with his strength and speed as well. High motor defensive lineman willing to fight through multiple offensive lineman to get to the quarterback as well. There will have to be development at the defensive end position but McMillan shows a lot of promise. If he ends up in the right system, he could end up a tremendous player at the next level. Slightly perplexed at why he has not received more love on the recruiting side of things. There is a bit of confusion of what class McMillan belongs to 2023 or 2024 – even if he’s a 2023 prospect, he remains unsigned and is worth a late flier.
Hershey was recently covered by our Patrick Weider in February and he did a fantastic right up. Here’s what he said.
“
Hershey plays defensive end for Spring Grove. In both an even and odd front Hershey holds the edge very well. He uses his hands very well to shed blockers off. Then he has a constant motor that is always attacking and going forward. On several clips I saw him chase down and tackle quarterbacks scrambling. He also has great size to hold the edge. He is listed 6’5 and looks every part of it. With his size and the ability to hold the edge Hershey is a good prospect that should have a chance to continue to impress for his senior year of high school. Hershey’s recruitment is starting to heat up since he has visited with Stony Brock, Dartmouth and Fordam. This number should continue to rise going forward.”
