The Jim Thorpe two-way lineman has been blowing up over the last several weeks and has picked up his first two Power Five offers in the process. Offers at this point include Coastal Carolina, Columbia, Dartmouth, James Madison, Lafayette, Lehigh, UMass, Pennsylvania, Syracuse, Temple, Villanova, and Virginia Tech.
The 6-foot-5, 270-pound linemen was an All-State defensive tackle this past season and has developed himself into one of the best players in the state of Pennsylvania. Currently, he’s 47th in our state rankings but our fourth best defensive lineman only behind Jahsear Whittington Jahsear Whittington 6’1″ | 280 lbs | DL Imhotep Charter | 2024 State PA , Cameron Chmura Cameron Chmura 6’3″ | 290 lbs | DL North Allegheny | 2024 State PA , and Ty Yuhas Ty Yuhas 6’4″ | 250 lbs | DL Pittsburgh Central Catholic | 2024 State PA .
On the field, Rosahac recorded 83 tackles, 25 tackles for a loss and three sacks last season. For his size, he shows really strong athleticism, being able to get down field on the offensive side of the ball quite quickly. Defensively, he’s got a good first step, and shows good hand fighting skills as well. Once he gets in the back field, he’s able to hit another gear to close in on opposing ball carriers as well. More Power Five offers should certainly be coming for Rosahac.
The Nazareth offensive lineman holds a pair of FBS offers right now in his recruitment but more programs are showing interest in the 6-foot-2, 290-pound offensive linemen. His height may hold him back from being a scholarship player at the high Group of Five / Power Five but he should definitely see at least a few more offers roll his way. He was recently at Penn State and has also received interest from James Madison, Liberty, and Coastal Carolina.
A first-team All-State selection, Kinney shows a really strong foundation on the offensive side , great ability to get leverage in most situations. He also shows good athleticism with the ability to get down field and block and finishes his blocks well. Overall a height quality offensive lineman with Group of Five potential – the only thing holding him back from more offers at this point is his height.
Highlights
Holds offers from Army, James Madison, UMass, Nebraska, and Temple. Plenty more should be on the way for Flint. We recently mentioned him in a players flying under the radar piece last month.
Here’s what we had to say.
“The 6-foot-3, 220+ pound defensive end out of West Catholic in Philadelphia was recently at our PrepRedzone Stock Up Showcase in Manheim and was super impressive. Overall, the size, athleticism, and talent is there. There’s no doubt about that.
As a defensive end, he’s still putting it all together but the potential payoff for him down the road could be huge.
He has good first step and burst, allowing him to either be quick to the punch or completely beat opposing offensvie lineman off the snap. Shows great closing speed on ball carriers as well, wrapping them up often in the backfield. Not only is he a good pass rusher but shows the ability to routinely get his hands up and use his 6-foot-3 frame to bat down passes at the line of scrimmage. Only going to continue to get better at defensive end has a high impact potential at the next level.”
The Bishop Canevin linebacker is looking already like one of the best defensive players in all of Pennsylvania for the class of 2026 and was a MaxPrep All-American selection. The offer sheet is starting to fill up quickly as well with Miami (OH), Penn State, West Virginia, and Syracuse all extending offers already.
A do it all athlete for Bishop Canevin, Taylor was a first-team all=conference selection as a freshman. As a freshman he already has great size and his football IQ is off the charts for his age as well. Strong motor, good closing speed, and tenacious in pursuit, he’s the last person opposing ball carriers want to see coming towards them. Despite being a freshman, he was already one of the best linebackers in the entire state this past season and should be among that conversation again in 2023.
Another early name to know in the 2026 recruiting cycle at running back is Bishop McDevitt’s Maurice Barnes Maurice Barnes 6’2″ | 200 lbs | LB Bishop McDevitt | 2026 State PA . The offer list is already highly impressive as program’s are jumping at the bit to offer the McDevitt standout. Boston College, Colorado, Michigan, Penn State, Rutgers, Syracuse, and West Virginia have all offered among others.
Much like Taylor, Barnes as a freshman shows terrific football IQ and play recognition. He’s got a great first step and burst that allows him to fire through gaps and get into the backfield quickly. As a pass rusher he reminds you a lot of another linebacker that came through the prep ranks in Harrisburg not too long ago. That being said, Barnes is a fantastic talent overall and is going to be a national name in the near future.
