- 12+ offers, Navy, Army, many FCS programs in position to land the top 100 athlete
Touted as one of my favorite prospects for some time, has held a resounding grade from myself for many years now. Had the chance to see him work in person against rival Parkland HS a couple weeks back. Was impressed with his overall performance at right tackle, his live performance matches what you see on tape. Dissecting OL reps in person is always tough, the traffic and field angle isn’t suitable to see things correctly, yet time and time again, I found Kinney steering and bulldozing kids out of gaps to open up some impactful lanes for backs to run behind. Kinney also aligned at DE/IDL to provide two-way reps, best to not have this young man on the sideline if it can be helped.
Released a three-and-a-half minute mid-season tape that highlights the fact that Kinney is still one of the best two-way linemen the state has to offer. The MS tape showcases Kinney’s defensive prowess a bit more than my live evaluation. This tape warrants some PWO attention from some of the best programs in the Northeast, it’s a name I’ll be sending despite the fact he’s probably built relationships with the many FCS schools clamoring for him. Excellent player.

Kinney is a very good offensive line prospect with his size perhaps being the only thing that keeps him away from a Power Five level. He has recently picked up offers from Army and Navy as well. Lafayette and Lehigh are also among his early offers.

The Nazareth offensive lineman holds a pair of FBS offers right now in his recruitment but more programs are showing interest in the 6-foot-2, 290-pound offensive linemen. His height may hold him back from being a scholarship player at the high Group of Five / Power Five but he should definitely see at least a few more offers roll his way. He was recently at Penn State and has also received interest from James Madison, Liberty, and Coastal Carolina.
A first-team All-State selection, Kinney shows a really strong foundation on the offensive side , great ability to get leverage in most situations. He also shows good athleticism with the ability to get down field and block and finishes his blocks well. Overall a height quality offensive lineman with Group of Five potential – the only thing holding him back from more offers at this point is his height.

isn’t 320+ pounds. Yet here he is amongst those massive linemen. Crazy to think that some might deem this young man “too small’ to play tackle at the next level. D3s and D2s, even some FCS programs are more than happy to take Kinney for what he’s worth. The premier programs might desire something more from a build perspective, even though his tape, technique, and work ethic stack up with the best linemen on the rankings. Kinney rubs off as the type of prospect that will be happy with any collegiate program courting him, yet his junior tape and production haven’t gone unnoticed. All of this being said, Kinney could be kicked inside to the guard position, a position I think he’d excel in. Interested in seeing how accurate we are with our assessment of the Nazareth standout linemen. His positional rank might have dropped, yet his overall rank is still inside the top 75.

‘s mid-season tapes, along with some after, are looking dominant as ever. I’m hardly surprised, yet the right tackle and IDL looks to have taken his game to even higher heights this Fall. Nazareth’s stock is growing, you can attribute the program’s success to many prospects, not sure if any are more deserving than Kinney. Real power off the ball. Real finishing ability, someone who will eventually make a D1 program very happy. Elite hand usage on this big man, this goes for both sides of the football. It’s tough to find IDL that are this big, show a bit of finesse off the snap. He can overwhelm with power and a good get-off, yet Kinney is often catching guards off guard with his quick and slick hand-fighting tech. That elite hand usage shows up at tackle as well, hardly missing his punches and landing his hands well in run-blocking sets. I’d go to war with this young man at tackle.
