Wimberly rushed for 255 yards and was a one-man wrecking crew. He also had 3 rushing touchdowns, one went for 57 yards. Wimberly was dominant all night as he helped win the playoff game and advance to the next round of the playoffs.

He was a dynamic and excellent player, and he was a great person as well. Fast forward to the other day, and he committed to playing football at Sacramento State in California. This was awesome to see because he is a good player who has finally found his home. Happy to see.

Marquez Wimberly Marquez Wimberly 5'10" | 214 lbs | RB/DB Nazareth | 2027 NJ is one of if not the most explosive athlete in Pennsylvania. This is a prospect with multiple offers at the FBS level. Wimberly still has another year of HS ball left.

His most recent offers are Temple and Norfolk State. Marquez had visited Indiana and Michigan during the season. He currently holds offers from Syracuse, Kent State, West Virginia, and FAMU.

Wimberly has worked on his frame to become a better prospect for college coaches. He has put on weight this past year while also working hard to keep the same athleticism through it. This will be a kid that dominates his whole Senior year. Keep an eye out for him.

Wimberly is an incredibly quick prospect that can take any touch to the house! Marquez has received a good amount of attention at the D1 level! I think his ability to return kicks will allow him the opportunity to see the field early wherever he lands! Opposing defenses will need to game-plan around Wimberly all season long! Be ready for another great season from the rising Senior!

5’10, 193 pounds. A cut-up build that many top-ranked backs cannot rival. 3.5 GPA. Accolades on the track (100m & LJ), accolades on the turf (all-state DB). Would be ranked a top five back, would be ranked a top five-seven DB.

WImberly is checking off the lone box left unchecked throughout the years. Consistent dominance in the form of production. As a man who has had the pleasure of watching Wimberly grow throughout the years, the transfers, the playing time issues, all of the noise has subsided. This Fall season, Wimberly has done nothing but prove himself each week with multiple scores practically every night. I saw Wimberly score four touchdowns in person, he’s recorded four straight 100-yard rushing games, he’s coming off a 5-score night. At this point, there is no box left unchecked. Wimberly fits the criteria in terms of measurables, he’s an other-wordly tester, he’s an ultra-competitive kid, he can and will likely earn all-state honors at two different positions. I knew this side of Wimberly was in him, it was a matter of him putting it on tape and doubling down from the promise he displayed as an underclassman. Surprised to see Big10 schools shy away from his talents, there must be something I’m missing.

Wimberly has finally broken away from the second-tier of elite players among PA 2026s, I think he isn’t far away from the likes of the Colemans and Mickens representing the state. He should be held in the same light. I remember a back currently at West Virginia who saw similar pushback as a prospect at William Penn York. He turned out to be the steal of a 2023 recruiting class. Wimberly might be as well.

He is a speed demon that you do not want to mess with. Marquez also gets after it in the weight room. I was impressed when I saw a video of him front squatting 425×4.

When it comes to his recruitment the big time schools are starting to take notice of the elite ’26 prospect. West Virginia offered on 6/5, FAMU (6/25), Akron (1/31), Kent State (5/9), Syracuse (6/6). I’m excited to see where Wimberly’s recruitment takes him. Like I said before he is the #3 ranked ATH in his class, so I only expect more schools to start pulling the trigger on this special prospect.
