In the constant search for who the biggest and brightest stars of tomorrow are, PRZ Next stays with a constant eye towards the future of football. Here’s a look at 10 class of 2027 prospects, from six different states, that I’m high on today.
– The younger brother of current Michigan Wolverines running back CJ Stokes
– Naturally strong kid with great work ethic at 5-foot-11 and 230 pounds. Also a standout in track and field, earlier in April winning the South Carolina Independent School Association championship in both shot put and discuss
– Will be attending The Hammond School in Columbia, South Carolina for high school and should contribute early. The Skyhawk’s are a powerhouse program in the Palmetto State, going 59-7 over last five years
– Has the frame and potential to become a highly rated and highly recruited player if it all comes together
– Played his pre-high school football at Gray Collegiate Academy
– I do not have verified size on him, but he’s a big kid. Has played offensive tackle and defensive end
Highlights
– Like Nathan Carson Nathan Carson 6’5″ | 255 lbs | OL Gray Collegiate Academy | 2027 SC of South Carolina listed above, Andersen Semchenko has a chance to be a next-level player if he can put the whole package together
– Size is already a plus, he’s currently listed at 6-foot-4 and 280 pounds in just the eighth grade. Though, he could easily shed 20-30 pounds to get in better shape
– He’s off to Sioux Falls Christian in the fall, where he’ll be joining his older brother, Lincoln Semchenko Lincoln Semchenko 6’4″ | 290 lbs | OL Sioux Falls Christian | 2025 State SD . The older Semchenko is a 2025 offensive lineman that is starting to see recruiting attention from several BIG10, MAC and IVY League schools
– Staying with theme of big linemen, Cajoux is the biggest lineman coming out of New York City that I’ve seen in this 2027 class
– Listed at 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds, he’s a load on the interior offensive and defense line. He’s another young line prospect that could and should drop significant weight to become a better player
– Played this year for the Brooklyn Skyhawks, the same program that produced 2025 prospect Amir Leonard-Jean Charles. Charles, now playing at Lipscomb Academy in Tennessee, holds nearly double digit offers right now
– Promising quarterback prospect out of Minnesota that is good right now and should only continue to get better as he progresses
– Good size for a 2027 quarterback prospect at 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds. Also possess really good mobility and the skill of getting his shoulders pointed towards the target, even on rollouts to his non-dominant side
– Is off to Maple Grove High School in the fall, where he joins a program fresh off a state title. The Crimson lose QB Jacob Kilzer Jacob Kilzer 6’3″ | 200 lbs | QB Maple Grove | 2023 State MN to Air Force but have 2026 prospect Kaden Harney Kaden Harney 6’3″ | 185 lbs | QB Maple Grove | 2026 State MN waiting in the wings. The addition of Soukup to the quarterback room continues to push the envelope
Highlights
– A very exciting So.Cal quarterback prospect to put on your radar ahead of his freshman season in the fall
– Stands in the 6-foot to 6-foot-2 ranger depending on where you look and has a slim build at 150 pounds
– Watched his film and saw an instant comparison to five-year starter at UCLA and current NFL-hopeful, Dorian Thompson-Robinson. From build, to playing style, down to physical appearance, the pair have a ton of similarities
– Fell in love with the way this kid plays the game within seconds after he sent me some film. The effort and heart he plays the game with instantly lights a fire under you
– Originally was going to list him as a wide receiver, but as I kept watching his film, he’s clearly an athlete. Lined up as a running back, cornerback, safety, punt and kick returner, etc.
– Bluford will be off to Center High School in the fall. Center is about as East in Texas as it gets, just 15 minutes from the Louisiana state-line. He’ll be working to earn a varsity spot on a Roughriders team that went 8-4 a year ago and only had one freshman listed on its varsity team
– Promising running back/linebacker prospect out of Virginia with a powerful build at 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds (unverified)
– Built like a D battery and runs low to the ground. One-cut and go, compact athlete with short, powerful strides. Possesses good agility but doesn’t do too much dancing behind the line or in the hole
– Got a good amount of JV time at running back as an eighth-grader this past year at Freedom High School and will also attend high school there. The Eagles have a bonafide stud with 2025 prospect Jeffrey Overton Jeffrey Overton 5’10” | 165 lbs | WR Freedom | 2025 VA Jr returning after a 2,000+ rushing-yard season a year ago. With that said, don’t be surprised if Duarte gets on the field defensively first
– Physically developed signal caller coming out of Berkeley Middle School in Williamsburg, Virginia. Already stands 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds with a great build
– Was the catalyst for an amazing turn around that saw the Bulldogs go from one win in the fall 2021 season to an unblemished 8-0 regular season record this past year
– Love the fundamentals he already has sharpened. Keeps two hands on the ball as he drops back and eyes are locked downfield, scanning the defense. Has a great pocket awareness and instinctively knows when to hang in there and when to bail out
Highlights
– In addition to having one of the coolest name in this 2027 class, Black is also one of the top quarterback’s I’ve seen in Texas this spring
– There’s a lot like to like about Black as thee guy running running the offense. He is listed at an unverified 6-foot and 170 pounds right now and has a big time arm that I can only see getting stronger. Can also make accurate throws on the move and get the ball into the hands of his weapons
– Led Forest Meadow Junior High to consecutive undefeated seasons and has established himself as one the brightest starts in the DFW Metroplex. Is on tap for an exciting high school career at Lake Travis High School in the fall, where the Wildcats have gone 36-9 over the last four years. He’ll the have the opportunity to learn from 2024 quarterback incumbent Tripp Holley who is starting to see his recruitment start to pick up
