About D’angelo
Expert Analysis
Cole Laing | Prep Redzone Scout
D’angelo is a solid running back who has solid athleticism and plays the position with good patience and vision. He can be utilized in both inside and outside running schemes. He allows his blocking to develop and displays solid burst to the second level. Shows solid elusiveness and balance, taking what the defense gives him and lowering his shoulder to gain yards through contact. I like what I see in his game, and he will be a dependable ball-carrier to any school that gives him an offer.

Sophomore is having a great transition coming from Manassas Park last year. The lead back for Alexandra City now, Duarte is making highlight reel runs a weekly item. He had a 75 yard score against West Springfield two weeks ago and is on pace to be among the district leaders in rushing. Duarte will have two more seasons for the Titans, he has transitioned in nicely.

– Promising running back/linebacker prospect out of Virginia with a powerful build at 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds (unverified)
– Built like a D battery and runs low to the ground. One-cut and go, compact athlete with short, powerful strides. Possesses good agility but doesn’t do too much dancing behind the line or in the hole
– Got a good amount of JV time at running back as an eighth-grader this past year at Freedom High School and will also attend high school there. The Eagles have a bonafide stud with 2025 prospect

Jr returning after a 2,000+ rushing-yard season a year ago. With that said, don’t be surprised if Duarte gets on the field defensively first
