Highlights
There isn’t a lot to take from CJ’s film other than that he has the size to play college football. At 6’2 175 pounds Pina is a tall and long corner who has decent turn and run ability. However, his technique is underdeveloped and he has trouble locating the football when the ball is in the air.
He’s a willing tackler and splits some time at safety. But due to his lack of experience playing football in general, he doesn’t move as instinctually as you would want from a player playing the safety position.
Pina has quite a ways to go in terms of getting better as a football player. Being a 3 sport should expedite his learning curve, but with his senior year around the corner, we need some significant improvement in the upcoming season.
Stewart has some of the best corner tape you’ll see in the 2025 class. This young man has been tested by some of the best wide receiver talents in the Super Conference and held his own.
He stands at 6’2 185 pounds and is a smooth-moving athlete. He doesn’t have the speed you want to see at the position. However, he does have the read-and-react ability and instincts that can offset it to some degree. He has a solid frame and he may get up to be a corner that weighs over 200 pounds by the time he leaves high school. And that’s exactly how he plays a corner that plays physical that can beat you up who’s great at the catch point and in jump ball scenarios.
Deshawn Stewart Deshawn Stewart 6'2" | 185 lbs | DB DePaul Catholic | 2025 State NJ flashed capabilities to be an all-around corner. First, he’s a willing tackler specifically on screen passes he’s to burst downhill and finish one on one tackles in space. Secondly, he has solid coverage reps in man and zone. Rarely do you see a corner be good at both, but Stewart manages to put so solid tape executing both concepts. His zone concepts are what stuck out to me having the ability to not only cover the flat effectively in Cover 2 but be able to pass off routes effectively also.
There’s alot to like about Stewart and with two more years of development we could be looking at a player who can be one of the best in his class!
DePaul Catholic has no shortage of young talent as they have another fast ultra shifty player coming through the pipeline. Thomas is an all-around athlete who excels as a wide receiver. The way he’s utilized gives him a myriad of ways and opportunities to win in terms of being put in motion. Or being able to use his suddenness to win down the field on deep routes.
Thomas moves and plays similarly to highly coveted wide receiver prospect Dez Jones Dez Jones 5'11" | 175 lbs | WR DePaul Catholic | 2025 State NJ . It’s going to get seriously interesting to watch DePaul Catholic play with all that young talent between QB Derek Zammit, Jones, and Thomas all in the same offense.
Tisdale has excellent god-given size at 6’6 290 pounds with a 34-inch arm length ( NFL standard is 33-inch arms for all offensive tackles). Tisdale plays with excellent leverage for a player his size and is a run solid blocker on the outside and on the interior. He great at run blocking on the second level and locating linebackers.
He very a bit of a waist bender so I need him to get better knee bend in his stance. Also, i have no evidence of how he does in true pass-set situations. The size is a prerequisite but now we need to see him against good competition in true pass-set situations.
Moore is a part of the mass exodus that left St. Peter’s Prep and landed at Paramus Catholic. Paramus is getting a physical player that’s a thumper that is also very instinctual.
Moore is a player that I like going forward and playing and flying around the line of scrimmage. His skill set is best when he can be deployed using his explosiveness to make plays. He’s sure as a tackler and uses in 6’1 frame to move and evade blocks to make tackles. Moore can be a disruptive force for Paramus and it will be interesting with top prospect Mekhi Cuttino in that linebacker unit.
