There is a very good case within circles that Dez Jones Dez Jones 5'11" | 175 lbs | WR DePaul Catholic | 2025 State NJ should be the top receiver in in New Jersey, and these arguments are valid. Joining Porter in 2026 at Ohio State, Jones game is a bit different but is yet just as effective. Jones runs routes so sharp, so sudden, so smooth, and yet so dramatic that some of the most seasoned vets have yet to master. This gift makes Jones a threat for any route at any depth with how he creates separation from defenders at any level of the defense.

The next player to watch is Dez Jones Dez Jones 5'11" | 175 lbs | WR DePaul Catholic | 2025 State NJ from DePaul Catholic. Dez is one of the most complete wide receivers in New Jersey. He possesses speed, route running, suddenness, and agility. These traits make him an elite high school and collegiate receiver.

His two standout traits are his ability to create separation and his amazing hands. Dez is one of the most sudden wide receivers in the state. He has great hip mobility and can run the full route tree. Additionally, his hands are incredible. Whether catching from the slot, on the outside, or in traffic, Dez adjusts to and secures passes with ease.

Given these traits, Dez has a great shot at leading New Jersey in receptions. He will be heavily relied upon in his senior year. Last season, he finished with 52 catches. It’s easy to see, from his film, that he can reach the 70 to 80 catch mark, putting him in prime position to lead New Jersey in receptions.
