Another month of the offseason is in the books, and the student athletes across Wisconsin have been WORKING! The weight room numbers are better than ever this month. New PRs are being set. National records are being broken. Gainz are being made. The athletes in this month's recap of the top lifts are going to be ready for the physicality of the football season. Let's see who put up the biggest numbers.

https://twitter.com/CBilitz/status/1630996692072890370

Carson made the recap last month, and he is back with a BIG bench PR. The junior RB joined the three plate club as he hit 315 lbs for a rep. The rep wasn't even in question either. The butt stayed on the bench. No sticking point to break through. Carson is piling on the strength. Keep an eye on him this fall. He is going to be a tough tackle.

https://twitter.com/karson_ernst/status/1631062612602507267

One of the top OL spent some time in March rewriting the squat record book at his school. The big man pushed the new mark to beat up to 500 lbs. It was a really good rep too. He hit depth, kept his knees over his toes, and maintained a tight core. The fight for the rep was a good one too. Karson is going to be a force in the trenches this fall, and he is going to climb recruiting boards this year.

https://twitter.com/CoachPlucker/status/1631311346405896193

Jeremiah is a name to know when it comes to the LB group for 2023. He is getting even better this offseason, and in doing so has been setting records at Fond du Lac high school. Nobody in the 201-225 lbs weight class has hit 625 lbs. That was until Jeremiah gripped it and ripped it off the ground. The battle for the rep had me screaming at my screen along with his teammates. Don't overlook the junior.

https://twitter.com/CharlieHoitink/status/1632560089075798017

Not only did we see school records go down this month, we saw National records be broken. Recent Stanford OL commit [player_tooltip player_id='203843' first='Charlie' last='Hoitink'] took to the National stage and deadlifted 584 lbs! That is the new U18 140 KG weight class record. The most insane part was the rep went up like butter! No question Charlie is going to have the size and strength to win in the trenches at the FBS level in a few years.

https://twitter.com/TyWagner21/status/1634404108894363649

What a lift by standout RB [player_tooltip player_id='664731' first='Ty' last='Wagner']! Not many athletes at the high school level are moving 500 lbs like he did in this rep. The dude forgot to struggle! Wagner is going to put up a monster season this fall. Teams need to make sure he is on their radars now because you won't want to miss what he does in 2023.

https://twitter.com/AnthonyLiggin20/status/1639056628543569920

This is wild! The freshman RB only weighs 155 lbs, yet here he is hitting two plates for two reps! You don't see a lot of athletes with that type of power in frames his size. It has me excited to watch him over the years until he graduates in 2026. This strength paired with his next level speed... Watch out.

https://twitter.com/CarterChristy42/status/1640429405183811608

Standout LB [player_tooltip player_id='202696' first='Carter' last='Christy'] decided to spend his birthday manhandling 395 lbs! It was a fun month of watching Christy's weight room progress. He hit 375 and 385 in weeks prior to this lift. The strength is piling up this month for Carter. The hits and the block shedding is going to be something to watch this fall.

https://twitter.com/Robbykedrowicz/status/1641907027562700802

We end with another National record. Robby went off in the bench, squat, and deadlift. It culminated with a new record of 585 lbs in the deadlift. It is insane how these young dudes can make it look so easy. The form, the path of the weight, the totals. It is all rare. He ended the day with a total of 1,510 lbs!
