The Stock Up Showcase series hit Broken Arrow on Saturday afternoon and nearly 150 prospects were on hand to get coached, get competition and get exposure. This was the fourth camp we’ve had in Oklahoma and they continue to get bigger and better. Prep Redzone Oklahoma will have articles and breakdowns throughout the next several days putting a spotlight on some of the best performers and prospects that we got a chance to see throughout the afternoon. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more coverage from the Stock Up Showcase camp. In this post, it’s all about the front seven on the defensive side of the ball. This is part one of two parts, combining the defensive linemen and linebackers.
Naithen Spaulding Naithen Spaulding 6'2" | 230 lbs | DL Washington | 2024 State OK – 2024 – DE – Washington
Coming off a State Championship year, is Spaulding, who helped anchor the defensive line for the Warriors. Spaulding plays with a good base and moves around well out on the field. I enjoyed watching Spaulding’s footwork in all the drills which helped him in his 1 on 1 reps versus offensive tackles. Spaulding comes off the ball quickly, which showed during his live reps. Spaulding does well with his first initial pass rush coming off the ball and engages with the offensive lineman. What helps Spaulding with his pass rush is his double move, in case the first one doesn’t help him win the rep. Being a good pass-rush defensive lineman, you need to utilize your toolbox and think one step ahead of your opponent.
Coltin Myers – 2023 – DE – Atchison County Community High
First thing I noticed about Myers with the defensive group was his frame. Standing in at 6’2″ and weighing in at 217 he looked the part of an athletic defensive end. Watching the drills, Myers displayed good footwork all day breaking in and out of the cones. I liked how he came off the ball every time and has a good motor. Coach Littlehead, the defensive line coach for the showcase, always teaches hand placement and to engage with their hips. Myers was able to display what Coach Littlehead teaches by using his hips in drills and 1 on 1’s. I also liked the effort that Myers gave all day throughout the camp.
Nehemiah Kolone Nehemiah Kolone 6'4" | 245 lbs | DL Stillwater | 2026 State OK – 2026 – DE – Stillwater
The first Prep Redzone standout in the class of 2026 to talk about is Kolone from Stillwater. He is 6’2.5″ and weighed in at 224.8 pounds at the showcase. I was impressed when I found out that he was in this class after watching him go live with the offensive lineman. Kolone had good 1 on 1 reps and soaked up all the coaching being provided. He was quick off the movement of the offensive lineman and could beat his opponent with his first couple of steps. He used several different techniques with hand placement and could beat you off the edge or with a double move. Kolone will be someone to keep an eye out on for the next several years to come.
Jared Kappenman Jared Kappenman 6'0" | 205 lbs | LB Edmond North | 2025 State OK – 2025 – LB – Deer Creek
The first Linebacker of the front seven group that we will talk about is Kappenman from Deer Creek. I first noticed Kappenman last year during one of our showcases during his drills at linebacker. Kappenman has a good frame playing inside backer and is solid with his technique. In some of the drills that I watched, Kappenman shuffles well while getting downhill. He doesn’t allow the ball carrier to gain any ground on him while he is moving. He has a good first read step, allowing him to attack downhill on the ball carrier. In his 1 on 1 reps, Kappenman showed he has good closing speed to go along with balance.
