Frank Johnson IV Frank Johnson IV 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Knox. Central | 2024 TN – RB – 5’9″ 195 – Knoxville Central HS / @theyknowfrank23
When Johnson sees an open lane, goodbye, he’s already off to the races. He seemingly skips a gear when he has a lane to run through and can turn on the jets immediately. Even when he’s caught behind the line of scrimmage, Johnson is slippery and can make defenders miss with a cut and fly in the opposite direction on his way to a big gain.
Khameron Athy – RB – 5’8″ 175 – Northeast HS / @AthyKhameron
Athy could find the open lanes with ease. He is the definition of a one-cut and go back, and there were plenty of times where the Northeast running back would carve out a big gain by starting to his right and then abruptly cutting back to the left and ripping off a long run. Athy’s vision is the best part of his scouting report, and a team with a zone-run system and a need for a workhorse running back should welcome him with open arms.
Isaiah Cobbs Isaiah Cobbs 5'9" | 165 lbs | WR Munford | 2024 State TN – WR – 5’10” 150 – Munford HS / @cobbs_isaiah
Acceleration is Cobbs calling card. His ability to burst off the line of scrimmage or out of a break is what makes Cobb special and will give him a chance at a good college career. In addition to his burst, the ability to modulate his speed will put defenders in awkward positions. Overall, Cobbs has juice and in short-yardage situations can be a key player to any offense
Henry Hamlin Henry Hamlin 6'2" | 220 lbs | LB Daniel Boone | 2024 TN – LB – 6’2″ 220 – Daniel Boone HS / @henryhamlin32
This is arguably Hamlin’s best trait. He does not miss tackles. Most of the time, Hamlin is coming downhill and will square up the ball carrier to make an efficient tackle. When moving side-to-side, Hamlin is almost as good but can let the ball carrier slip outside his radius. However, this is rare compared to how often he attacks downhill and makes textbook tackles.
Walker Lockhart Walker Lockhart 6'3" | 175 lbs | DB Karns | 2024 TN – DB – 6’3″ 165 – Karns HS / @WalkerLockhart1
Lockhart’s instincts are a fantastic part of his game. He has a great understanding of the scheme deployed by Karns HS and is consistently communicating pre-snap. Lockhart does an outstanding job of keeping his eyes on the quarterback in zone coverage. By doing so, Lockhart can look from his number one receiver to see the quarterback checking down to the running back on his side.
