The latest 2024 rankings on Prep Redzone Oklahoma were released on Monday with the Top 125 for the state’s 2024 class. Throughout the week, we’ll be breaking down prospects throughout the rankings. From stock risers and newcomers to breakdowns by positions, it will be a busy week! So keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma throughout the week for more on the 2024 class. In this post, we’re putting a spotlight on the top five offensive linemen in the state’s 2024 class. This class continues to improve and build more depth and there are quite a few players that have some versatility in their game and could play in a few spots along the line of scrimmage.
Bixby has had a great run of offensive linemen over the last decade which is no surprise considering their success in winning state championship after state championship. The latest is Brody Duffel Brody Duffel 6’6″ | 270 lbs | OL Bixby | 2024 State OK and he continues to trend in a positive direction. Duffel spent the majority of his junior season at left tackle but also lined up at right tackle. The thing that jumps off the film when you watch Duffel is the frame he has and the athleticism he plays with. Bixby’s offense uses a lot of misdirection and because of that, Duffel is pulling a lot in their running schemes. And despite being 6’6, Duffel moves incredibly well and he has quick feet. He has to be really impressive to college coaches. When Duffel gets into a college weight room, he’s going to be an absolute menace because of that frame and athleticism. Duffel has firmly established himself as a top ten overall prospect in the state’s 2024 class.
One of the newcomers in our October ranking update was Del City big man Darreyl Thomas Darreyl Thomas 6’5″ | 295 lbs | OL Del City | 2024 State OK as he emerged as a legitimate D1 prospect late in the summer of 2022. Thomas had a strong junior season and he continues to be one of the better tackle prospects in the class. And it makes sense when you look at who he’s practicing against every day. Del City has had one of the stronger front seven groups and specifically defensive linemen over the last few seasons. It’s an iron sharpening iron situation as Thomas has gotten some of his toughest competition Monday thru Thursday at practices. Thomas anchored an offensive line for Del City that had some newcomers at the skill positions but they were still among one of the top offenses in Class 5A. We like Thomas to continue picking up attention and inevitably offers the more his film makes the rounds and college coaches visit the Del City campus.

Despite being a top five offensive lineman prospect, NOAH tackle Ezra Ballinger Ezra Ballinger 6’5″ | 270 lbs | OL NOAH | 2024 State OK is one of the more underrated offensive tackles in the state. Ballinger is an absolute monster along the offensive line for the Tulsa-based homeschool program that captured the homeschool national championship last fall. And just like Thomas at Del City, you have to think that Ballinger and some of the other NOAH offensive linemen have improved greatly by going against our 2024 top-ranked prospect in defensive end Daniel Okoye Daniel Okoye 6’4″ | 225 lbs | DL NOAH | 2024 State OK during practice. Then you throw on the film and all you see is Ballinger plowing through the competition on every clip. When NOAH is running the ball and Ballinger fires off the line of scrimmage, more times than not, the opponent is going to end up pancaked. As Okoye gets more and more attention from college coaches, hopefully they look to the other side of the line of scrimmage because Ballinger can go.

Our final prospect on this breakdown is Norman North offensive lineman Harrison Utley Harrison Utley 6’4″ | 285 lbs | OL Norman North | 2024 State OK who has jumped into the top five for overall prospects and is now the top ranked offensive lineman in the class. Utley continues to improve every time we see him and the jump he made from his sophomore to junior seasons was a big reason why Utley made this jump. Another big reason for the jump is the attention that Utley has already gotten from college coaches and the praise he’s received from high school coaches. There are quite a few coaches that mentioned Utley as one of the top linemen in Class 6A-1 this season. Utley is an impressive athlete and seems to only be scratching the surface on what he will be in a few more years. As he continues to grow, hit the weight room and get bigger, Utley is going to be an elite offensive tackle to come out of the state. This will be a big spring and summer for Utley.
