Dunmore vs Mt. Carmel
This should be a fantastic matchup in Mt. Carmel this evening as the Bucks and Red Tornadoes matchup. Dunmore is coming off an impressive offensive showing against Old Forge last Friday in a 43-35 win. While Mt. Carmel took down North Schuylkill 25-17.
it will be interesting to see how Dunmore’s offense is able to move the ball against one of the better defenses on their schedule this season in the Red Tornadoes.

Berwick vs Valley View
After a hard-fought loss last week to Southern Columbia, the Berwick Bulldogs will look to get into the win column this week against Valley View. Valley View started off their season with a loss themselves to Crestwood 20-7. With the quality talent on both sides of the ball, this should be a fun game and could be a defensive battle to the end.

District 3:
Cumberland Valley vs Central York
One of the best games throughout the state this weekend, Cumberland Valley and Central York has a chance to be a barnburner. Cumberland Valley opened their season last week with a 31-27 victory over Manheim Township while Central York defeated Central Dauphin 36-19. Expect a high-scoring affair on Friday night in York.

Dallastown vs Manheim Township
A matchup between two teams looking for their first wins of the season, there will be plenty of talent on display in this one. Dallastown has two of the best wide receivers regardless of class in the state in 2023 Pittsburgh commitment Kenny Johnson and 2025 prospect Michael Scott. 2024 quarterback Hayden Johnson is one of the better quarterback prospects in the state for Manheim Township and can take over any game in the blink of an eye.

Southern Columbia vs Shamokin
Southern Columbia held off a strong effort by Berwick last week to pick up their first victory of the season and will face a quality defensive test this week against Shamokin. The Indians won last week 13-9 over Lewisburg and will now look to stifle an explosive Southern Columbia offense led by running back

Jersey Shore vs Lewisburg
Jersey Shore blew out Pottsville a week ago 55-12 and will now face a Lewisburg defense that surrendered just 13 points a week ago in a 13-9 loss to Shamokin. For the Dragon, they’ll need their offense to take a major step up from last week’s effort if they hope to knock off Jersey Shore.

District 5:
Tussey Mountain vs Windber
This should be a fun District 5 matchup, last weekend Tussey Mountain started their season off with a 28-14 win over Moshannon Valley and will now face one of District 5’s premier teams in the Windber Ramblers. Windber dominated Fairfield last week in a 57-0 win.

District 6:
Richland vs Central
Richland escaped last week against Forest Hills with a 26-23 win and will have a tough test once again this week in Central. The Dragons had to hold off Bishop Guilfoyle in week one 21-20 to bring home their own victory.
Both teams have offenses that can explode at any moment but are also built around stout defenses. It wouldn’t be shocking if this was a high-scoring affair or a defensive battle to the very end. If you’re in the area, we highly recommend you check this game out.

State College vs Downingtown East
State College will make the trip to the Philadelphia area on Friday night. The Little Lions opened their season with a 42-14 win over Williamsport last weekend. Downingtown East had an impressive victory of their own, defeating Pennrdige 30-6. This has all the makings of a close back-and-forth matchup.
