He is a highly skilled quarterback with immense potential. At the 7-on-7, he was outstanding all day, throwing the ball. His size and athleticism are good. He is an excellent quarterback who should play even better going forward.

He has excellent mechanics and footwork. He throws an accurate ball. McCracken is a talented player who should play well at the PRZPA Classic 7-on-7.

McCracken was great over the weekend in the vertical passing game. Whether it was seam balls over the middle of the field or deep down the sideline, Garrett was putting the balls on point and on time. He has a good arm and can stretch the field enough to make safeties be honest.

Question I Want Answered: Can McCracken stay atop our QB Rankings moving forward?
6’1, 180 pounds. 4.2 GPA. Finished the year completing 75 balls for 950 yards passing and 11 total scores. I haven’t cut on the McCracken tape yet, but will be doing so once 2027 rankings time gets closer. McCracken ranked inside the Top 150, inside the top 15 at his position as an underclassman before the season began. As we know, a large influx of prospects are scheduled to be evaluated for the first time, will this result in a rise or fall in our rankings in favor of McCracken? The Kennett sophomore QB performing well at this event would further bolster his stock. Being named a Top Performer out of this group would go a long way in keeping his rank inside the Top 200. Time will tell. I’m a fan of his game either way.

The left-handing throwing quarterback has some good skills as a quarterback inside and outside the pocket. Outside the pocket, he does a great job on designed sprint-outs and bootlegs where he can use his athleticism to throw on the run. His ability to sprint out and throw on the run is impressive. In the pocket, he shows good skills by setting his feet and throwing a good ball. He puts a good amount of touch on the ball when he throws the ball. This is especially true, on deep balls. McCracken is just scratching the surface, and he has a bright future as a quarterback going forward.

Varsity reps on tape, at Kennett HS. Works out of ten personnel almost exclusively, spread offense. Lefty passer, one who can complete passes in sprint-out sets moving both left or right. Offense calls for pre-snap motions often, McCracken, a freshman, can handle it all. Accurate and anticipatory throws witnessed on tape. Nothing too flashy out of McCracken, and I mean that in the best of ways. Everything in terms of release, footwork, accuracy, route variation, size is solid. Would love to see more production down the line but this can be said about pretty much every freshman quarterback I look into. Love the timing and ball placement when attacking corner routes. Has a handful of throws inside the ten yard line, good accuracy. Looks comfortable in the pocket for the most part, had to remind myself of his age. Intrigued by his build and whether or not he’s a real 6’1, growing into a 6’2/6’3 build would do wonders for his stock.
