walks, talks, and acts like a Division One football player. His size (6’3″), strength, and athleticism are off the charts. He already has 3 offers, and he is visiting West Virginia tomorrow. I expect more offers to come his way. When I saw him on Saturday, he looked like he was ready to put on pads and hit someone. He was still able to help his team, Philly Finest, as a linebacker. Clancy is a legit player in the 2027 class.

is an awesome linebacker for Kennett. He is a talented player who is a tackling machine. He has great size (6’3″) and runs at a high level. He is a good athlete who is a true sideline-to-sideline player. I am excited to see how he plays at the PRZPA Classic 7-on-7. Especially to see how he responds to covering elite receivers. Clancy has the skills, so he should be able to play well.

is a legitimate linebacker. He has the size (6’3″) and speed of a legitimate athlete. His film screams that he is a Division One football player. His closing speed is special. He has excellent instincts to attack offenses downhill. He currently has offers from UNLV and the Army. I think he deserves more Division One offers. I expect he will soon.

is an explosive linebacker who makes plays all over the field for Kennett. When he sees the ball carrier, he fires uphill and makes tackles near the line of scrimmage or behind the line of scrimmage. He looks like he is fired out of a cannon when he attacks downhill and makes tackles. He is an outstanding blitzer who is disruptive by putting pressure on the quarterback. He also had a few pass breakups as he can drop in coverage and knock down passes thrown in his direction while he is in coverage. Clancy is an excellent player who has the tools to play even better.

came out this past weekend and did what I knew he could do. My question for Clancy was if he actually was 6’2″ 215 and he definitely was, moving well for someone his size. Where he shined was in coverage and tackling drills, being able to show off his X-factor being reading and reacting. Clancy patient in coverage and smooth when attacking on our breaking routes. He has probably earned himself a little boost on our rankings after his showcase.

already in my set of underrated 2027 defenders, well i’m closing this out with Clancy as well. When I watch him I just see someone with a veteran feel of the game, a true Quarterback of the defense for that Kennett team, I have no doubts on Clancy as he possesses the size, the smarts, and the athletic ability to be a FBS linebacker. I see glaring similarities to Shaun Dolac in the way Clancy plays and i’m sure a team will be pulling the trigger soon.

rocks, plain and simple. The horizontal footwork paired with the initial read step is veteran like from the rising junior. It’s not often many linebackers at all ever really have a “feel” for the game, Clancy does. When he’s getting into run fits often times it appears he’s teleporting to the ball carrier making the tackle. These are high level instincts for a sophomore linebacker. The feel I get when watching Drew is something I personally don’t get often, I expect him to garner real interest from programs at the FCS and FBS level.

this past November as well as this past week, I was pleased to see that Clancy graded out the same, if not higher than before. Previously ranked at 91/198, now 92/500. Despite the list adding an additional 300 prospects, Clancy didn’t see a drop in rank, which is standard for most recruits across the board. The best ones endure the large influx of new names, Clancy did just that. Clancy’s tape begins with a great rep showcasing his ability to keep his eyes on the QB, move laterally in coverage, and catch a ball thrown below the waist. Immediately dispelling any thoughts that this kid is a one-trick pony at backer. Balanced when attempting to breach the trenches, can sniff out plays solely on the heels of instincts. An authoritative backer who sets the tone. I can envision a future where FCS programs inquire on his talents, especially if he has a productive offseason. The one nitpick, I want to see overall production spike. Clancy has some promising reps shown off in his most recent tape, yet it’s a couple of seconds under two-minutes worth of tape. I want to see a loaded 5/7 minute tape moving forward to feel better about sending his tape to coaches recruiting the area.
Blessed to have another year completed a ton of memories and lessons learned Thank you to the seniors and all my Coach’s looking forward to year 3.

STANDOUT TRAIT ON TAPE: Size, Pursuit & Blitzing skills
- t
- 6’2, 190
Interior backer, wouldn’t have guessed he was a freshman based on tape alone, plays and carries himself like an upper classmen. Being 6’2, 190 also helps that notion stick, Clancy’s already boasting an impressive physique for the position. His read and reacts skills will only get better, but it’s a pleasure to watch him work after he reads and keys. Pursuit skills are impressive, kid can close the gap in a flash. Love how he was utilized at a blitzer, seen blitzing between guards and occasionally around tackles. Bursts out of his stance well, times/jumps the snap with a purpose, his blitzing skills are solid. This kid is ahead of the curve.
