Joalex Carbajal Joalex Carbajal 5'9" | 170 lbs | ATH State PA competed with confidence and physicality throughout the weekend, showing he belongs among top defensive backs in attendance. At corner, he demonstrated strong mirror ability and stayed attached to receivers through their breaks. His experience at wide receiver translated into excellent ball tracking and timing at the catch point. Carbajal consistently challenged throws and made quarterbacks hesitate when targeting his side of the field. He proved to be a reliable two-way athlete who embraced competition and delivered.

5’10, 170, 3.7 GPA. Five-minute junior tape is loaded on both sides of the ball. Has developed into one of the better route runners in the state. Won WR MVP at the PRZPA Winter Showcase, which I saw firsthand. I’m very familiar with his game, this isn’t a guess. Some programs may view him as D2 due to size, I disagree. Has the skill set to play FCS ball at WR or DB. Track background helps validate athleticism. Tough competitor who consistently shows up. Doesn’t shy away from competition. One of those kids you don’t bet against.

I have a case to raise Carbajal’s rank yet again. I know college coaches will harp on measurables, I personally wouldn’t drop this kid on boards based on H/W alone.

4.72 40 time, 4.31 shuttle. I have gone on record in the past expressing how talented I think this young man is. I won’t get into his multi-faceted game, but more so what his MVP performance could do for his recruiting. Carbajal came in and proved he was the best wideout in attendance, overwhelmingly so. MVP and Top Performer gimmicks aside, no one, not coahces or writers present, could deny Carbajal’s talents. If he can replicate this type of showing everywhere he goes moving forward, his recruiting will have no choice but to spike. He proved he’s capable of standing out, now to get to where he wants to go, he should have the confidence moving forward that he can do just that. He’ll have me in his back pocket as an advocate of his game.

A 2027 currently on our watch list solely because of a late tape release. I’m fond of the two-way athlete that is Joalex Carbajal Joalex Carbajal 5'9" | 170 lbs | ATH State PA . A former camp attendee, a track and field participant, one who carries a 3.7 GPA.

Kennett’s Carbajal looked impressive, representing Philly’s Finest. Carries a back type of build, PF coaches had Carbajal working routes out of the backfield almost exclusively, this beside talented athlete Jahmir Brown Jahmir Brown 5'9" | 150 lbs | DB Episcopal Academy | 2026 State PA . Carbajal worked well in tandem with Archbishop Carroll’s Christopher Sponburgh Christopher Sponburgh 5'10" | 160 lbs | QB/WR Archbishop Carroll | 2026 PA , as well as teammate at Kennett HS Garrett McCracken Garrett McCracken 6'1" | 210 lbs | QB Kennett | 2027 State PA . Soft hands, transitioned from wideout to play maker quickly. Worked backer zones well when tasked with doing so. Love what I saw out of the sophomore athlete.
