2021 was a big year for [player_tooltip player_id=’77217’ first=’CJ’ last=’Carr’] as in his first full year starting he really took command of the offense. The stats were impressive, throwing for 2,696 yards to go along with 28 touchdown passes. Carr and Saline will be hungry to make a state title run this season. [player_tooltip player_id=’77217’ first=’CJ’ last=’Carr’] announced via Twitter his commitment to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (Twitter).

RB: [player_tooltip player_id=’162655’ first=’Cole’ last=’Cabana’] | Dexter | Hudl

Like [player_tooltip player_id=’77217’ first=’CJ’ last=’Carr’], 2021 was a huge season for [player_tooltip player_id=’162655’ first=’Cole’ last=’Cabana’]. He really cemented himself as not only the top running back in Ann Arbor but in the state of Michigan as well. Cabana has outstanding speed and change of direction. He has a lean, muscular build and has outstanding play strength and play speed.

WR: [player_tooltip player_id=’243475’ first=’Jamari’ last=’Thomas’] | Ann Arbor Huron | Hudl

Thomas has outstanding speed and has the capability to take slant routes over 60 yards for touchdowns. Thomas shows the ability to win 50/50 balls down the field. He also plays on defense and special teams for Ann Arbor Huron.

WR: Roman Laurio | Saline | Hudl

Laurio was very productive for Saline this past season, hauling in 54 catches for 953 yards and 7 touchdowns. He is outstanding at creating separation and getting open. His single moves are very effective and are a big reason he can beat cornerbacks deep consistently. Laurio is a beast after the catch and refuses to go down easily. Laurio stepped up big in the Bedford game last season. He had a huge touchdown catch later in the game that helped Saline take a commanding lead.

OL: [player_tooltip player_id=’243409’ first=’Laith’ last=’Shamma’] | Ann Arbor Huron | Hudl

Shamma is a great competitor at the offensive tackle position. He is always working to stay in a good athletic position so he can sustain blocks as long as possible. He has great size for the position at 6-6, 250 lbs. He is an outstanding defensive end as well for Huron and is a key returning player.

OL: Seth Anstead | Chelsea | Hudl

I love watching Anstead drive defenders out of the play with his strength. He is a very good athlete and has great size at 6-4, 290 lbs. I like aggressive he plays and enjoy watching him fire off the line of scrimmage. There are many times defenders can’t get around Anstead once they engage with him. I also like how he will finish blocks by taking defenders to the ground.

TE: [player_tooltip player_id=’188007’ first=’Dylan’ last=’Mesman’] | Saline | Hudl

Mesman is a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses. With his size and strength, he has the ability to jump up and win almost every jump ball thrown his way. Saline uses him on the line of scrimmage as a true tight end at times. They also line him up on the outside at wide receiver. Saline also uses Mesman just off the line of scrimmage as an H-back. I loved watching him play last year and look forward to seeing his connection with [player_tooltip player_id=’77217’ first=’CJ’ last=’Carr’] get even better this upcoming season.
