The camp was well-run as usual and helped each prospect in attendance show off what they are capable of. I was able to capture that while in attendance. Here are some prospect’s whose performances stood out to me from this past weekend’s The Show event by NextGen.
Armase Edouard | 5’8 | RB/ATH | Central | 2023
A junior prospect out of Rhode Island who made the trip down to New Jersey to show off his abilities. That he did. Can say without a doubt that Edouard displayed some of the best route running ability at this camp, despite this young man primarily playing running back. Incredible short area burst, serious explosion out of his stance and off the line of scrimmage, and a great pair of hands to bring in some contested balls. Very impressed with his body control when stemming. Edouard showed he has the separation ability at a camp loaded with talent, safe to say he can separate with ease at his HS level. Edouard is a super competitive player from what I could tell, taking each matchup as a challenge while taking each rep seriously. Huge fan of this RI prospect.

Toby Brown | 6’3, 230 | DL/OL | Nashua High North | 2023
Here’s a stud junior out of New Hampshire who stood out amongst a great group of defensive linemen. Incredible physique, awesome combination of raw upper and lower body strength that makes displacing smaller/even sized offensive linemen a breeze. Best part of Brown’s performance was his flash of speed and bend during 1v1s on the edge. He isn’t a one-trick pony and in a world where edge rushers have to be versatile, Brown provides that. When asking around, everyone speaks highly of his character and work ethic. Also heard he impressed in the combine portion of this event. Excited to see this young man’s stock rise.
Showed up to compete and earned a spot at The Show in Atlanta this summer! Was seen as one of the top 5 defensive linemen! Thank you for the opportunity @nexgenscouting @TheSHOWByNXGN @AllenTrieu @AlPopsFootball @Rivals_Clint @On3Recruits pic.twitter.com/ql6tZt2lIr

Geoffrey Galloway Geoffrey Galloway 5'11" | 175 lbs | DB Iona Prep | 2025 State NY | 5’10, 160 | DB/RB | Iona Prep | 2025
Here’s a freshman out of Iona Prep in NY that showed he can certainly hang with some of the area’s best talent at DB. Such a solid early skillset for the young man. The weight room will be crucial for his future development, as is for most young DBs, but his build was far from a negative at this camp, It was a plus in fact. I liked his overall hand usage in each rep. Galloway was able to stay in phase when matched up against speed and/or size, which had to be the most impressive part of his performance. Happy to see him earn an invite to the next camp in Atlanta.
Larawn Robinson Larawn Robinson 6'2" | 205 lbs | LB Centereach | 2024 State NY | 6’2, 200 | LB | Centereach | 2024
Larawn Robinson Larawn Robinson 6'2" | 205 lbs | LB Centereach | 2024 State NY put out one of, if not the, best performances from any linebacker at this camp regardless of class or state. Great height/weight combination. Super physical throughout each rep, which leads me to believe that this young man is even better with pads on. The physicality and use of leverage is something I expect out of most linebackers in this setting. What I didn’t expect was his ability to break on the football and intercept/ deflect passes, as well as his ability to run downfield with the majority of the running backs at this camp. Robinson provided the full spectrum of what a scout would want to see out of a linebacker prospect.

Evan Chieca | 6’4, 220 | WR/TE | Lindenhurst | 2023
Here’s another NY prospect who really impressed me at WR/TE. It goes without saying that Chieca’s frame is desirable as a weapon in the passing game. Any time you’re 6’4, 220 and can move the way this junior can, you’re going to find reps on offense in some fashion. What I liked most from the Lindenhurst product is his shear ability to catch the football. He displayed a wide catching radius that extended above his head and away from his body. Plenty of tough catches with talented DB’s draped in coverage. Plenty of tough over-the-shoulder and sideline catches as well. In a setting where so much of your athletic profile is tested, I came away most impressed by his pass catching ability.
Nick Conlan | 5’10, 150 | QB | West Haven | 2025
I was pleased with Nick Conlan’s performance at the Philly’s Finest 7v7 tournament earlier in April and was impressed again by his overall performance at this camp. Fearless at the 7v7 event, had the same vibe at this event. The young man wasn’t afraid to try to fit balls into tight windows. He looked calm and confident throughout quarterback individuals. His stature might be slight but the kid’s got a serious arm behind him and has plenty of time to grow in both height and weight. Conlan’s overall confidence and arm talent for his age is undeniable. Excited to continue watching the CT prospect’s development.
Preston Carey | 6’5, 250 | DL/LB | Long Island | 2026
What a pleasure it was to watch this 6’5, 250-pound MSer go to work against some of the best offensive linemen in this camp. We can get the obvious out of the way, you just don’t see 8th-graders look like this very often, as well as be this far along in his pass-rushing development. Build wise, Carey still has some baby fat on him, which will be shed with ease. Awesome to think that his build will only continue to trend in the right direction. Carey is going to go on and do whatever he sets his mind to, there is no limit to his projection. Again, really impressed with his get-off and hand placement along the edge. Can’t wait to see this youg man work at our camp this coming weekend.
